I'm starting to pack stuff for PAX (limited to 1 carry on and a backpack) and I'm hoping I don't miss anything since it's my first time.
Here's what I've figured out so far:
PAX Badge
Clothes
Camera
DS
Money
Deodorant
Razor (electric, so that weird FAA rule about liquids won't bone me on shaving cream)
Comfy shoes (actually getting a new pair this afternoon)
Anything I miss?
P.S. - I was looking for something funny to spruce up the post a bit and stumbled onto the least funny thing ever. Observe:
Haven't posted anything here in forever (work and school tend to do that to you), but I thought I'd mention that I'm in the Omegathon.
I'm Hans Wuerflein (I'll wait while you check the Omegathon roster. Back? Cool.)
Anyway, I'm supposed to be starting a gaming blog for the O'Colly any day now, but if the blog section of our site is still screwing up (and I'm almost sure it will be, way to go College Publisher) I'll post some stuff about the competition, trip, and whatever else on here.
So if you have any questions on how it runs or whatever I'll be able to answer them in a few days once I find out for myself.
Yeah, super short notice, but if you happen to live in or around Stillwater, OK and have nothing going on Saturday the 24th the Gamers of OSU are hosting a LAN party in the (x-to-the-z) Exhibit Room on the 4th floor of the Student Union. 10 a.m. (ish) - 11 p.m.
Team Fortress 2, Left 4 Dead, Call of Duty: World at War, and whatever else you want really.
$5 at the door, or $10 semester dues which gets you into all 4 LANs (who can pass up a sale?).
Or if you just want to stop by and chat or check out the organization that's cool too. This one will probably be pretty lowly attended because I didn't realize this was the week I reserved the room until a couple of days ago.
They are these hooks with the rubber U shape you can see and the back is just a big screw you twist into your wall (so watch out for wall studs, electrical lines, lease agreements, etc.). They cost about $1 a piece and take about two minutes to install.
I put up several a few months back and they're working great.
Now if only I could find a cheap, classy way to store the drums...
... for a double dose. (Yes, I stole it from Idiocracy. Go watch it if you haven't.)
Anyway, I'm currently a student at Oklahoma State University (News Editorial Journalism). I'm a Copy Editor for the Daily O'Collegian (the student newspaper). http://www.ocolly.com
We're an official student organization dedicated to video games.
Other than sit around and bullshit about games, we (try to) host a LAN party each month. If you're in Oklahoma feel free to check us out. We host weekly meetings at 7:00 p.m. on Monday in Business building room 109 (OSU campus). Or stop by our forums in the link above. Our registration is a bit boned right now, so if your account doesn't automatically activate email me.

Just shoot me a line and I'll fix it. Or if you have any other questions feel free to ask.
