Losing the passion to play videogames. Ever since I finish high school 3 years ago, I steadily, steadily have lost interest just playing videogames. I have no idea why but the strange thing is that I always read Destructoid and other blogger sites, magazines, watching gameplay vids and always chat bout it with other blokes. Gaming is like air to me, WTF! When I have nothing to do besides reading Destructoid, I just look at my PS2 & 360 collect dust. Its like somebody put a curse on me that the most time I play with a game is a day or less. Has anybody had problem like this before or is just me??? LONG LIVE DESTRUCTOID!!!

when I think of what would happen if I lost my ps2 memory cards, and how many man-hours of work they represent, I cry a little, inside.

i agree with that, since graduation i've spent less and less time with my beloved. before i went out and bought xbox a few weeks ago i had went at least 2 months without touching my ps2 and other than that my gaming was 2 weeks of nothing but pokemon diamond. now my xbox mostly sits unused cuz my wrist is fucked up. but once its better enough to game for more than an hour you can bet i will waste all my free time on it.

I kinda have that sometimes, i'm the type of gamer that will play a game he likes for hours and hours until he needs to sleep (after some heavily caffeinated drinks), so in my case sometimes when i don't play (specially mon-fri) it's because I KNOW i can't play 4-5 hours straight.

The DS pretty much solved that for me.

I'll have periods where I game every free second for days on end, then I won't touch a system for a week. I'm like Knives, I usually only play when I can devote a couple hours to it. Kinda hard now with the kiddo. :)

It's age. It happens. I bet X-mas doesn't feel like X-mas anymore, huh?

But Xmas kinda makes sense, i mean, as a kid that was THE day to get stuff. When you grow older that loses all meaning, i don't need to wait for Xmas or my bday to get games, i can just go and buy a couple after getting my paycheck.

Its the exact opposite for me. I really got into gaming my senior year of high school. I really havent changed to amount of games I play but the frequency has changed. Imay go 3 months and not pick up a game or sometimes ill buy 4 or 5 games in a single week.
