We all love Pac-Man, the little guy that infected the nation with Pac-Man fever. In the 28 years since the character wakka-wakka'ed into our hearts, he has inspired
steampunk arcade cabinets,
business card holders,
modular lighting systems, and
delicious cake (and that's no lie). But what of the masses that need more than Pac-food and Pac-lighting? What of the gamers out there that simply need to R-O-C-K?
The answer comes in the form of
Ian Schneller's beautiful 25 1/2″ scale guitar. This one-of-a-kind guitar, currently owned and operated by Dave "Timely" Winer (of the Howards and the Baltimores), is more than just an awesomely-shaped guitar. The construction is enough to make any guitar-lover drool, with a basswood body, maple neck, ebony fretboard and three large round mother-of-pearl fretboard markers. But the real kicker comes in the 12 blinking lights in the headstock, which can be
synchronized with the beat by turning Pac-Man's eye.
Be sure to check out Schneller's
page on the piece, along with his other custom
amps and
instruments.
So, who else wants one?
