Yo Tubatic. Shit sounds epic.
I want it... Y.Y
That doesn't sound epic...that sounds buggy.
@Y0j1mb0
Well that's the thing though: Aside from being completely bootleg and B-List in presentation, that mission actually worked as a game element. If I was working, I'd bug it for assets, but functionally, it still executes.
The only thing keeping me from liking any of the WOTS games is the combat, imagine if it used a Bushido Blade-ish combat system...
@Naim Master
For what its worth, I've been reading that there's a "one hit kill" difficulty mode that gets unlocked in this one, thought I haven't gotten it for myself yet. No But, the game has a sense for the "depth" of a hit I'll let you know what's up when I get there!
"No But, the game has a sense for the \"depth\" of a hit"
What the hell am I typing about...
No limb specific damage, I reckon but the game seems to have a sense for the "depth" of a hit. There's a thing where you can slash a woman just slightly to shorten the length of her kimono. I'll blog about one hit when I get it.
I have it Tubatic! ::bro hug::
I think it's ok. It's buggier than the original, but it has it's moments. DEFINITELY a niche game, though. I should have a review up in a few days to keep that one by IGN company on Metacritic.
buggier than the first, eh? I haven't had to restart this one because of freeze yet...
I'll agree that's MAD niche. If someone's looking for shiny and accessible, this probably won't be their bag. Looking forward to your review: the one from IGN is kind of a mess, I feel.
I never encountered a freeze in the first one, but then again I haven't played it that long.
I'm getting this when it gets cheaper. Will the developer launch a patch anytime soon?
Epic. Somehow I'm actually more interested in this game just by knowing the developers made a mission that's so hilarious.
I can't wait to play this game. I've been waiting for my copy to arrive for DAYZ. Would you say WotS3 is more like the second WotS or the first? Because I have heard that the second isn't all that great, but never got a chance to play it myself.
@HiddenAHB
Aside from janky asset stuff like the above, I don't think there's anything that's game breaking. I'm not sure what issues Magnalon's seeing (and not disputing that they exist, either!), but I think a patch from Agetec or UFO for anything will be highly unlikely, since its a port of what's already out in Japan for 1-2 years now.
@T-Rav
Yeah, launch for this game has been a hot mess. Everyone should have their copies this coming week, I gather.
Its got more of the job-giver structure that WotS2 does, but the pacing is better than that game. Also, they make it very clear on the map where you need to go to trigger story events, if you get lost.
@Tubatic
They're not major issues at all: just some clipping and stuff. Honestly, I didn't come across many things wrong with the first game.
OK, I have to buy this game now. I love shit like that.
@Jon
You're buying Way of the Samurai 3 over Demon's Souls! WHYYYYY!
hahahaa
