Players can elect to summon "cartoony" versions of bats, bombs, guns, and flamethrowers. These types of items can be used to destroy objects or even other summoned items (e.g., a club can be used to hit an animal; steak can be attached to a baby to attract lions; rockets can be lobbed at a man).

In appreciation of a modern Podtoid, circa Episode 100

Anthony, Jim, Aaron, Topher and Samit (and sometimes Brad), you guys are amazing. Podtoid has become one of my favorite weekly rituals and I always look forward to hearing what you guys have to say about any given video game topic.

Anthony, take the compliment. You've really done an excellent job shaping Podtoid into a discussion platform. Like that Johnathan Blow lecture discussion. It wasn't a hot topic, but you made it a hot topic and the resulting discussion was really top notch.

Also the Podtoid cast, as a whole, really expressed and discussed the RE5 race topic in the most satisfying way that I heard on any of the 3 or 4 game podcasts I tune into every week. No whining, no bitching, not ridiculous entitlement as gamers. I forget which episode (I guess the one right after the game came out), but you guys had the absolutely most listenable conversation about that topic. You handled it like pros, and I totally appreciated that.

You didn't write it off as "just games". That's something I hear said all the time, and I respect that you guys respect the medium enough to indulge the conversation, and not leave it to child's play.

And then, weeks later, you do Bisontoid. Brilliance gentlemen, brilliance.

I think we tend not to get all gushy about Podtoid as a community, like we do for RFGO. But this crew is awesome, and I definitely appreciate the show and the tour-de-force commitment to putting out a Podcast that really represents the essence of Destructoid today

Congratulations on Podtoid 100 proper. For you it was a few hours on a Monday night. For us, it was Tuesday.

Well said, Tubatic. Podtoid has really grown on me in the last 25 or so episodes, and I look forward to hearing it every week. If RFGO is the fun friend you want to hang out with, Podtoid is its cool older brother that started smoking cigarettes and cutting class.

Special props to Aaron Linde for brushing off all the Bonerquest references and Siegelpuns, despite the fact that he clearly loathes them. Write some stuff for Dtoid again!

Well said my man. I have been unable to find another podcast that has such serious discussions about games, and really focuses on the current issues in the medium. Podtoid can do that and still have fun at the same time.

Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?

Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
