About Me
My favourite games are old school Zelda games and JRPGs such as chrono trigger, FFVI, Earthbound etc. I'm also a massive Mario fan (brought up on Nintendo as I'm sure most people on here were) Nowadays I generally play games with an epic feel to them. I love that feeling at a start of a game when you know you've got a good thirty hours (at least) of good times coming. Saying that my favourite game of the last year was probably Braid so I'm clearly talking bollocks.

Fallout 3 is Fucking Sweet

Just randomly walking through the wasteland when I heard some blokey shouting about worms and telling me to keep back. Found a wastelander who's scared shitless by this freak and sent him to simply go and discuss his greivances with said gentleman.

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

Wastelander gets tookout in a sexily huge explosion. Completely awesomesauce, there is no reason for this to be there other than for the lulz, no xp or sidequest or anything like that, just a gullible chump getting his arse blown to bits.

I wasn't sure whether I was going to like this game but I've been playing for 40 hours and I'm still loving it. Highly recommended to any rpg fan who hasn't bought it yet.

I enjoyed Oblivion but I love Fallout 3.

Although I would love some faction quests.

Yeah, I love how Fallout 3 has stuff like that.

My favorite pointless but hilarious thing up to now is the ability to pickpocket someone and leave a grenade or mine in their pockets after to blow them all to hell. So funny!

I will say though that I did find the fantasy world of Oblivion more attractive then Fallout 3. They both suffer I think from an overworld that looks largely the same no matter where you go, but Oblivion was just a rich, gorgeous world.

Artistically I definately prefer Oblivion, but as a game I just found it a bit fiddly and akward at times. I played an out and out mage and sometimes it drove me mental making sure I had all the right buffs and stuff on the go.

Fallout 3 is just so much more streamlined and is easier to enjoy and get lost in the world for that reason.

I have to say that despite Fallout 3 appearing a bit drab for the most part there are some amazing visual moments (The Mall for example).

Oh and the characters look like crap in both of them unfortunately.

The Oasis. It literally took my breath away when I first saw it.

@Brecksher: I haven't seen that bit yet, I'm trying to play it as I find it as I always do with open-ended games, craft your own experience and all that. I'll have to keep my eyes out for that bit though if it's as good as you're saying

I came upon that bit as well, but instead told the guy to hang tight while I check things out. I thought maybe he had some frag mines scattered about, or maybe a bundle of grenades.

Nope. Walked slowly into the alley, the bomber-guy said something, and then BOOM. I was dead.

I was on my way to Reilly's HQ, so I reloaded, left the wastelander to cower in fear, and marked the location off to check out later.

Did you find the guy that laid out the trap?
