Hey Dtoid, I'm TriplZer0.
I'm a science fiction, fantasy, and speculative fiction writer by trade, but aside from writing, video games are my biggest passion. I also write over at
Gamer Limit.
The first console my brothers and I ever got was an SNES for Christmas one year. Since then, we've owned an N64, Playstation, PS2, and an Xbox 360. I got a Gameboy Color one year for Christmas, but my brothers are more into handheld gaming than me. Every time they upgrade to the latest system I get their hand-me-downs. That's how I obtained my GBA and my two DS's. Handheld gaming for some reason doesn't interest me even though I know there are great games out there. The first console I've ever been the exclusive owner of is my PS3. The first games I ever played were Super Mario World, F-Zero, 7th Saga (which I've written about), and Out of This World.
My favorite genres are RPGs (Western or Japanese), FPS, action/adventure, and RTS (even though I suck at them).

I've heard both games are easy to get into, but KoF requires a bit less to start hammerin' mofo's.
Both Art styles are fucking beautiful. Equally.
I really don't know what to tell you. I'd try and see If I could test run each before making the big decision.
What do you like more, semi-realistic 2D fighters like Street Fighter, or totally insane fighters like the Vs. series, Dalkstalkers and Guilty Gear?
What do you like more, sprite based 2D graphics, or scanned-in HD artwork?
How much do you care about a big roster?
How much do you care about story?
Do you prefer playing a game with familiar characters and mechanics, or do you want a game that's all new all over?
Answer those questions, and you'll know which one to buy. If you still can't decide, I'll tell you that KoF XIII is almost a sure thing, while BlazBlue 2 isn't quite as certain, so if you want to grab one while you still can, I'd go with BlazBlue.
I don't know a lot about either title but BlazBlue looks really sick and seems to have generated a lot more buzz around the site than KOFXII.

My reasoning is because while the hype is high for BB at the moment, it won't be going as long as KOFXII's will. Meaning, for now, you'll have a larger community to fight with in BB, but you can be rest assured that in months you can pick up KOFXII and still find plenty of matches.
I also prefer Blazblue as a game because I think the characters, soundtrack and single player options are WIN.
Also, forums are that way.
Seriously though, i haven't played KOF12 yet, but from waht I hear of it I am very excited about getting it. Blazblue is awesome.
@Cad - Yeah I got Chrome. For me it runs faster than Firefox.
Try posting blogs in Firefox still though, for whatever reason it messes around with the spacing of lines and whatnot regardless of how it looks when you're about to post it.
