Oh, yeah, forgot to mention that I hate the randomness of lag online. Sometimes you have a perfectly good connection, and then the next person you play has a terrible one. The region filter just isn't enough -- you should be able to test connections BEFORE playing someone.
You can do this with any projectile character. Ironman's Unibeam works even better.

You see, I agree with this, but at the same time, there's a difference between an actual special move input and just sticking a multi-hit projectile to a single button press. The whole reason this is problematic is that this enables the lower ranks to consistently and incessantly spam a projectile over and over while most people at the same rank don't know how to deal with being projectile-spammed.
It's not so much about spamming the same move more than anyone can do it and not everyone can handle it.

I'd agree, but this is someone spamming on very easy in single player.
Online Sent's beam spam is slow, and easily countered. His mini Sent's (as an assist as well) and air kick are much more effective, and harder to counter if used right.
That's just my opinion though. Those who spam his beam I find are easier to beat then hadouken spammer's in SSFIV.

Thing thing is, you and I aren't total newbies to fighting games, and the hype that MvC3 brought had a lot of people who don't normally play fighting games pick it up, and in that demographic are both the people who are spamming Sentinel's projectile and the people who don't know what to do about it.
Yes, it's pretty simple to just super-jump into a combo against a spamming Sentinel, considering his frame, but it's also something a lot of people just don't get, and for some fighter-newbies to have really nice ratios while some suffer just because they don't want to spam Sentinel is a bit... off.
