About Me
What can I say? Basically, I've been playing video games almost my entire life, currently 25 years old, starting all the way back with the Atari and moving on up over the years. I loved playing with the Atari, but my "hardcoreness", I suppose you could say, didn't really set in until I got a Nintendo Entertainment System.

Super Mario Bros. was great and all, but Mega Man is what solidified my love of gaming, at least that's what stands out the most reminiscing of my childhood of gaming. Also games like Super Mario Bros. 3.

My next console leap was to the Sega Genesis and sometime later I got the Super Nintendo. Super Nintendo was hands down the better of the two consoles in my eyes. The Genesis became an abomination toward the end of it's life cycle. I'd like to claim it was pure hardcoreness that led me to purchase a 32X and such, but honestly it was stupidity, heh.

I skipped the Saturn, wasn't a big fan of Sega at this point and honestly I didn't have any interest in anything on the system. I got a Playstation and eventually a Nintendo 64.

Playstation 2 was next and then eventually a Sega Dreamcast. The Dreamcast was a great system but still ended up failing, which sucks since it ultimately set Sega packing in the console making business. Playstation 2 was great. I got an XBox later and followed much later by a Game Cube.

This generation of consoles I have an XBox 360 and a Nintendo Wii. Both great consoles in their own ways. Don't yet have a PS3, I refused to purchase one until Yakuza 3 was announced for release in the US. It hasn't been officially announced yet, but it's not looking too bad. I may have a PS3 not long from now, but one positive thing about waiting so long is that I'll be able to pick up many great games for low prices if they came out a while ago.

I enjoy a lot of different games and genres. I play a lot of FPS, action/adventure, horror, etc. Love the Resident Evil series, Legacy of Kain series, early Mega Man titles, various wrestling titles, etc.

4PlayerPodcast - Gaming for charity! They game. You watch. Heal kids.

I am a frequenter of the 4PlayerPodcast blog, forums, and broadcasts. Hell, they even have a YouTube account where they upload some of their most memorable moments captured by viewers on the Jtv site. So check them out!

I enjoy their opinions, information and it's fun to watch them play games, crack jokes, and generally just be goofy for the sake of entertaining people along with themselves. Also, to see them scream like little girls when playing horror based games (i.e. Fatal Frame, Siren, etc.), lol. It's all in good fun.

Anyway, they're great fun, and on a more serious note, as of yesterday, they've started a campaign to raise funds to donate to a Children's Hospital. So if you're feeling charitable, feel free to check them out and donate. Every little bit helps. Even if you don't donate, it'd nice if you could pass this message along and help them out. Also, gaining newer viewers would help them out as well, so you can stick around if you like them and become a member of the community as well. Help them out any way that you can; donate, spread the word, join the community, or all of the above!

Well, enough of my jabbering. Below if the actual blog entry made by one of the members of the 4PlayerPodcast, Brad, and there you can read about it straight from the horses mouth, so to speak. However, I suggest still visiting their blog to see what they're all about.

Thank you for listening!

Sponser 4pp in the Extra Life charity event!

On October 18th, 4player Podcast will be joining countless other sites and teams in an effort to raise money for Texas Children's Hospital. They will receive 100% of the proceeds raised from this event. We usually just play games to entertain you and ourselves, but this time we are playing for the kids.

Starting at 12 am on October 18th all members of 4player Podcast will be playing games. I will play live on the feed, as will other members. We will be posting polls to help decide which games you want to see us play on that day. Just a note, Silent Hill 5 and Dead Space will be in our possession if we see the support we are hoping for. I was possibly passing on Dead Space, but if we get enough sponsors, I will gladly pick up the game for this event.

The games might not be for the kids, we can raise enough money to meet our goal and then some! There are some big names participating in this event, including the entire Gamercast Network and Rooster Teeth, so let's show them just how large and dedicated the 4pp community is!

Check out our fundraiser page for more information on Texas Children's Hospital and how you can donate. You don't have to wait for the event for to sponsor us, just make sure you tune in on the feed that day to make sure we don't fall asleep!

I will be posting more detailed information on our gaming schedule for that date, and other possible festivities for October 18th.

Brad

1.) They spelled sponsor incorrectly. That irks me, but...

2) It's nice to see them doing something for the kids :) I'll check it out.
