GameRevolution, perhaps the first gaming site I visited regularly back in my internet childhood, has a preview of Dead Space.
Things I found particularly interesting:
-Disable enemies by dismembering them, rather than the zombie headshot solution.
-Your gun apparently shoots bolts of
pure cutting and their angle can be changed to be more effective in different situations.
-There's going to be more to the environment than I thought (and what I thought was hallways and flickering lights).
-"Isaac Clarke" :D
Things I could have done without:
-They're called "Necromorphs". C'mon,
necromorphs?
I'll let you read it on your own though. I'm going to skip over to talking about the animated comic that's been showing up on the marketplaces. It's free, it's giving you some backstory much like the quite enjoyable Heavenly Sword episodes did months ago, and best of all, it's illustrated by
Ben Templesmith whose work I very much enjoy. Reading
30 Days of Night had me snapping up the reasonably-faithful movie without a second thought, and I would recommend
Wormwood: Gentleman Corpse to anyone that enjoys things in the vein of Hellblazer (though I admit my limited exposure here) or Mignola's Hellboy or BPRD.
The game's still shaping up to be awesome though. Good appraisal.
oh and your banner is awesome :D
