As of yesterday, some major videogame titles released over the past six or so months have received permanent price drops across all retailers. The
full list can be found here, but since it's not very long, here they are for you lazy bums
Burnout Paradise
Orange Box
Skate
Turok
Dark Sector
Need For Speed: Prostreet
The Simpsons Game
Medal of Honor Airborne
Boogie (Microphone Included)
Smarty Pants: Trivia For Everyone
The prices have dropped to $39.99 or less.
Out of the bunch, I'm most looking forward to Skate. I can appreciate a brand new IP doing something different with the genre, and coming from EA it's quite a surprise. And it seems even more deserving of a purchase, if only to let them know originality pays off. Now here's hoping they don't pull a Tony Hawk with this one (although I don't see why they wouldn't).
I was excited for Burnout too, but the driving in GTA IV is actually starting to become fun, especially once you get the powerslide down, so I can hold off on Paradise for a little while longer. And I really should have gotten Orange Box a long time ago. Five games in one is a sweet deal.
The most surprising drop has to be Dark Sector. I mean, the game just came out a couple of months ago, right? I guess Xena Warrior Princess isn't that relevant anymore.

The Simpons demo wasn't too bad...
Now I just need a couple of the bigger Wii titles to drop and I'll be a happy camper.
