About Me

Now with epic beard...

Who am I?

A gamer from the South Side of Chicago. Currently going to college for a Computer Science degree and looking into a course for C# certification so I can become a business applications programmer (gaming programming just isn't worth it).

What do I do?

Play games, play sports (european and american football), read a lot, go to the pub (need a new one, got banned from my old one), program crappy little applications, and so on.

Games I am currently playing...

Warcraft 3 mod Defense of the Ancients (DOTA)
Team Fortress 2
Super Mario Galaxy
Titan Quest: Immortal Throne
Audiosurf
Dynasty Warriors 6
No More Heroes
Advance Wars: Days of Ruin

Looking Forward to
Demigod
Next Pro Evolution Soccer
Smash Bros Brawl
Fallout 3 (sort of)
Spore
Left 4 Dead

Last night I finally got to partake in a past time (passtime? Pastime?) that was lost long ago, and that was board game night. Friends usually come over and we play competative games of Catan, Ticket to Ride, and usually a half assed game of Curse of Dracula (if anyone is familiar with this game they know how ridiculously confusing the rules are). Last night though we were greeted with a new game:

Last night on Earth

It you're a board game fan then you should love this one. Learning curve isn't bad at all, some minor rules and guidelines you have to read over but nothing like Curse of Dracula. Premise is simple, you have 15 hours to kill 15 zombies or else you lose. Also, if two of your heroes die then the game ends as well. Heroes get to pick up classic zombie slaying weapons such as Chainsaws, shotguns, flareguns and other bonus cards such as Faith and the "Shop Teacher" who saves you from a zombie attack.

I would definitely recommend this game to any board game enthusiast.

Man, I remember the good ol' days with the Dawn of the Dead board game. If you want to be cheap about it they have it to download (as it you print out the material). I think that was the only board game I've ever played.

That looks fun - I played a zombie game with cards once, it was epic...only took too damn long, and the drunker you got, the harder it was to make street cards line up.

@Shadokat: You're talking about ZOMBIES!!!, which is really an epic "screw the other guys over while taking everything for yourself" game much like Munchkin. It's also loads of fun, and I have a few of the sets myself. Never heard of the one from the post above, but ZOMBIES!!! is a fun time.
