Now with epic beard...

Who am I?

A gamer from the South Side of Chicago. Currently going to college for a Computer Science degree and looking into a course for C# certification so I can become a business applications programmer (gaming programming just isn't worth it).

What do I do?

Play games, play sports (european and american football), read a lot, go to the pub (need a new one, got banned from my old one), program crappy little applications, and so on.

Dawn of War Wednesdays? (And Kids in the Hall Videos)

I have noticed over time that there is a lack of RTS games being played as a community here on Destructoid. There of course is plenty of FPS action going on all platforms and of recent there is Brawl and DS games being enjoyed by many here.

But would anyone be interested in playing some RTS on Wednesday nights? I was thinking perhaps in the form of Warhammer 40K: Dawn of War? I have a couple of other RTS games in mind but Dawn of War seems to provide the most players in a multi player game and it is quite enjoyable (theres nothing better than 8+ armies meeting at one point having an all out battle for one relic or capture point).

So yeah if anyone would be interested in playing some Dawn of War on Wednesday nights or perhaps any other RTS let me know via this post or PM and perhaps I will get the motivation to set something up?

I just bought Soul Storm off Steam, you got that? I think BahamutZero has Dark Crusade too, though not sure how everything syncs up.

But yeah I'd be in for some RTS'ing! I also play quite a bit of LoTR: BFME: Rise of the Witch King with my brother, so that could also be an option.

Well if everyone is interested in Dawn of War I can easily go out and get Soul Storm.

As embarassed as I am to say this, I do not own nor have I ever played Starcraft. I can't remember what PC game I was playing at the time but I never got around to it. Definetly going to get Starcraft 2 but I wouldn't be able to set up a Starcraft night...

We play soulstorm in vent all the time. Your crazy sir. Me, Zaqu, Cannibal, and the occasional cjp play all the time. Just DL Hamachi and hop into vent.

I just purchased the DoW Anthology & Soulstorm so I would definitely be up for some of that RTShizzle.

The Beard is good. For Epic Beard status see Ron's or Mine. Don't worry, with a couple of years under your belt..You may reach this epic status you covet.

Upgrades to the main game cannot play with people who lack those upgrades. Basically if you own and run Soulstorm you can't play with somebody running Dark Crusade, you'll have to run Dark Crusade. It's oddly restrictive, I know, but you should own vanilla Dawn of War anyway for the Space Marines, Chaos, the Orks, and the Eldar.

I always considered both your beards to be of a "Master" quality that only comes with age (hence the thickness) as to for my age I would consider my beard "Epic". Eitherway I won't deny that yours and Rons is of a high calibur.

Yes there is nothing better than Kids in the Hall when it comes to Sketch Comedy. Well, I take that back. Monty Python did Sketch Comedy the best but to me Kids in the Hall is a close second followed by Upright Citizens Brigade.
