Since the last update I've done some of the best and some of the worst covers so far. As YouTube failed with their audio settings for a while I'll list the best quality setting to watch with just in case. .mp3's be on
my site too, should you want them.
In reverse chronological order:
Castlevania II - Dwelling of Doom is a short collaboration with "Nihoggr" on drums and me on everything else (our second collab after
Nightmare Creatures over a year ago). No, it's not a "rock band kit" or whatever, it's a "real" electronic drum kit. ;) He totally steals the show and I'm really happy with how it turned out, put a lot of work into making it "sound good".
(Best YouTube sound quality: 720p)
Apocalypse Now is a bit special in that it's not a cover of the source material (which would be Lullaby of Demonic Hell from the Touhou Project series game Subterranean Animism) but of the doujin arrangement Apocalypse Now on the Dangerous Mezashi Cat CD Memento Mori... ...and stuff. Yeah. Love this powerful track and am super happy with how it turned out, especially after only one sitting from idea to completion (it - the percussion in particular - being really simple obviously helped)!
(Best YouTube sound quality: 360p)
Conversely, I hate how this track turned out and the (lack of) time spent on it shines through. Not a fan of how anything "sounds" in it either... But figured I'd be a man and post it anyway. A sad nerd man at least, as the source of this track is an ancient Hentai game called Nocturnal Illusion. Yeah I played it, no I didn't beat it (pun intended). Difficult as shit and really trippy, but there were some awesome MIDI tracks in there of which two I figured I'd cover. The other one is really complex and difficult, but this - the creatively named Illusory Nocturne - was easy enough to put together in an hour or two as a break from other larger projects. Now if only I'd have made it sound good too...

Ok, washed my hands and brushed my teeth, on to happier things. I'm doing guitars for
The Amazing BrandO's (of now split The Adventures of Duane & BrandO) upcoming MegaProtoMan 9 track (which will be in the vein of their MM2 piece) also featuring Brentalfloss and Mega Ran/Random. As a fanboy I can't wait because it's looking to be awesome. :) Made a little promotion video out of boredom one day as I got a random idea involving the blue bomber and a middle finger.
(Best YouTube sound quality: 720p OR 360p)
Aaand the oldest one, good ol' classic, not much to say. Me and a couple of others were streaming us playing old games on Tinychat and two of us beat Mega Man 2 which prompted me to log off and record the Ending track. I like the video in all its simplicity here. :)

'tis it for this time! Failing hard at real life right now so things are slowing down while I focus on not being homeless and try to not starve to death or kill myself. Peace!
