Doing a lot of
videogame music covers (mainly rockin')!
26 y/o dude,
Sweden. Passions in life - games, music and the combination / creation of the two. Got a decent little
nerd base of my own, but always struggling to stay afloat economically.
Spent super much time as a "competitive" FPS gamer,
like this. Have lost the motivation though and found the work/time/headache to fun/reward ratio to be really messed up, so quit that right before newyears '09. Back to the roots - fun games for pure enjoyment! Mega Man fo' lyfe.
Big fan of the Destructoid podcasts. Will never forget you, RetroforceGO!

The reason I probably didn't even open your last blog is because it said Final Fantasy somewhere on it. I just can't get interested in anything FF related, for some reason.
It is a bit disheartening on more than a personal level though when something like this is basically ignored while pure troll- and failblogs (see: commenter before you...) rakes in both faps and comments; sends a pretty shitty message of what people are interested in to be honest, knowatimsayin? But I guess I'll keep posting until someone (respectable) tells me to sod off.
Regarding Final Fantasy, to each his own, all good! T'was one of the less popular ones to boot. More about the music though, but then again tastes differ there as well. ^^
And regarding Pinball, man I so agree. The new "Games for Windows" or whatever is going on now is just weird to me, don't quite understand it and don't see anything I like. :(
I completely agree with you. It is disheartening to people when they worked really hard on something and then they notice that the trolls are getting all the attention while they are getting none. I really wish people would stop giving trolls the satisfaction by commenting on their blogs, but apparently that's not going to stop happening (for whatever reason).
Anyway, it's really cool that you're covering video game music. Maybe a little more detail in your blogs would get people more interested and fill them in on what you're trying to do. In this blog for instance, it's sort of unclear that you were the one who performed the music.
...I'm really going to go ahead and say that if someone doesn't catch on to any of that he/she isn't remotely close to caring to begin with. A little more detail/text content is a fair point but I'm not sure what to make of history. The pessimistic way of looking at it would be that that's just more "work" for a pretty much non-existant target audience.
Anyway I feel like I'm just QQ'ing now and that wasn't the intention; could be a topic in itself but I swear I've already seen people blog about this before.
The optimistic way to look at it would be that you are doing what you love, and as a bonus some other people appreciate it as well ;-D
Also I just now noticed that the sidebar image is an NES cartridge resting on top of a guitar - I thought the cartridge was resting on top of a computer keyboard or something. Which is embarrassing considering I've been playing guitar for 14 years, but there you have it. Any chance you have a slightly more zoomed out version of that image? Just a friendly suggestion.
Keep on rocking!
14 years wow, I've barely really listened to music at all that long hehe. Nice!
