Always fun to record stuff, so made a quickie in hope that I'm not too late. Totally missed this until I saw all the recent contributions. That's what I get for skimming the podcast newsposts...

Stay off the battlefield, Chad.

An old, tired, low-key and annoyed Snake, kinda.

Oh yeah and a golden opportunity since I was going to buy the MGS pack (read: import, Sweden...) etc anyway because I've never actually played the games but am very, very interested. The other submissions are good though!

For a depressing look into how much time I've spent on PC gaming, there's nd.torzelan.se. That's "serious" "gaming" which I am, in all honesty, tired of. It's not the same "fun" as playing without pressure; sure - there's only as much pressure involved as you put on yourself, but somehow I used to have a problem with enjoying losing and thusly had to always play my best against others to the point where it became tiring and frustrating. I'm dumb. Luckily, I've seen the light in form of TFTuesdays and pretty much dropped anything more serious than that.

Before the dark PC ages though, I grew up on the Nintendos. NES (with the Zapper!), SNES (with the Scope!), GB (with the... uh Tetris) and so on. The console game I've played the most is probably Mega Man 2 or Super Mario World. Those were the best times ever.

That said, times aren't too shabby now either as long as you look at it from the right angle, which I have reverted to. For example, the Contra 4 on DS angle.

I have a couple of USB controllers and such for my computer (the convenience of not-playing non-emulators), and the random console here and there (none of this generation though...) like the PS2 which is getting some action with RPG's like the Final Fantasy games, shmups (big fan) like Mushihime-sama and beat 'em ups like... most of 'em. My badass [custom] [stick] makes the latter two categories so much more fun, and it's all very comfortable in front of my (dying, but free) TV. Also nerdy but awesome sound chair thing. Rocking in dual sense.

My HDD's contain a ridiculous amount of gigabyte speedruns which I guess I could claim to "collect", mostly from tasvideos.org and speeddemosarchive.com.
I am also a huge fan of video game music, original and remixed/reinterpreted. Shoutout to ocremix.org, many remixers/rearrangers there have had a huge (positive) impact on the musical part of my life and I am very thankful for that. Will submit a track of my own whenever it's done, might CBlog about that.

Just because it's awesome; check out Voices of the Lifestream if you haven't already. Probably my favorite of their larger projects - very high quality overall and sports so many different genres that there should be something there for almost anyone.

I currently work at a museum; in October I'll have done so for two years and my period of employment is up (or earlier if I want). I'd really like to have a new job by then, but living where I do there's basically wood industry and elder care. Not perfect for a music and games lover. I don't really have likeminded friends and stuff in my town anymore so having lived on the same street all my life, I could imagine moving. Preferrably to another country. Sweden is nice but I don't like the people here and I read, write, hear, speak and even think more in English than Swedish. Hi, I'm geographically misplaced.

What's up right now in Torzeland:

- Still looking for a job, 6 months go by fast...
