I was hoping for an STFU article myself. The uproar hasn't really been necessary, even if it doesn't make sense to me.

There's nothing wrong with the Double Down Browntown Edition DSi.
Its two huge screens with consumer rape wedged in the middle.
Not to say I don't want one to replace my DS Phat...
I would be mad about this if a) I didn't still have a DS Lite and didn't upgrade to a DSi and b) if I wasn't unsure about whether I'd want something that big. But I can see why other people might be pissed off.
I'm not mad, I just think it's dumb. I think anybody who bought a DSi might have decent grounds to be mad. That is, if they like this big ugly thing.
I thought it was made for the elderly or something...

This is the DSi version of those calculators with the really big buttons and oversized displays made for grandma when she does her grocery shopping.
Also, this will be perfect for my mom when Dragon Quest 9 comes out.
That thing is too damn huge. If I want a bigass portable, I'll play Columns on my Game Gear.
Also, brown can be a classy color for gadgets. That's red wine. The actual black DSi LL is Dark Brown, and looks ok, but is too damn big.

I like big handhelds but I don't see why they couldn't add a GBA slot for a console with full DS functionality. I already though the DSi "it's too small for one" excuse was bullshit now there's no excuse at all.

Looks like its sporting the brown, wood grain atari look.
I already have an old gray phat and a pretty sweet red and black lite. Those screens are awfully attractive, but it depends on the price and the future game library.
You'd figure they would've adjusted the button size a bit on the LL.
I think the Atari Lynx is still sexier!
