I'm about to get my first XBOX 360 in the mail and I haven't met anyone personally who hasn't had any problems. I'm glad to hear that yours is doing alright. Maybe some of your luck will rub off on me.

i feel your pain. mine didn't red ring, but it sure did broke. disc drive stopped reading discs. expect to be w/o a 360 for, oh, 2 months.

My heart goes out to you. It happened to me around February, right in the middle of an 8-man LAN game of Gears. I was just a tad bit inconsolable.

I toweled it last night, now it plays for about 5 minutes before it dies again. Same thing with or without the HDD connected. I'll be ordering a coffin for it today.

Topher, don't towel it. If you do it too often, you will only totally fubar your internal components. Unless you know for sure you will get a totally different box from MS when you send it for repairs.

My box is fine. I got mine early last year and it still works, but my friend bought one last month and it red-ringed the very first startup. It was so f'ing ghey.

jaja luzers. ib had my 360 4 over 2 years now & ib never had a problem . even on xbla 4 players all niters. so don't say that its all bad . suck it up princes

Yeah, that sucks. I'm now on my 3rd Xbox 360. The first stopped reading anything and the second got the red rings. It's like a once a year thing with me now.
