You know you just can't wait to get your hot paws all over some SSF2HD Remix action. Well, if you own a 360 & you grab Wolf of the Battlefield: Commando 3 (available since yesterday for 800 points) you're going to get your chance in just in just 2 short weeks!
If you grab Commando 3 you will notice there's an HD Remix beta button at the bottom of the main menu; which currently brings up an Xbox Live error. On the 25th however it will start the DL of the SSF2T HD Remix beta. Which should give you about 8 weeks of Hadouken throwing fun.
This beta is only available on the XBL version of Commandos though. Capcom has stated this is due to the budget. But as Capcom Community's Seth Killian stated: "the network improvements that we make post-Beta will improve the final, full product on XBL and PSN alike".
Commandos 3 is an old school top down shooter w/ one analog stick for moving the direction of your gun & the other dictating your movement. It can best be related to the old Commando game, or Contra for all you who've never heard of Commando. It supports up to 3 player co-op online.
Commandos is about 10 bucks (give or take depending on how much ya spend for points). It's not a fantastic game, but if ya like old school games it's not terrible either.
I'm debating if i should buy it or not. I could get 2 months of play in before the game's released if i buy it. But there are so many other games I already have that I've barely even started. :\
Well, it's kinda fun. But it's really short. You'll blow through it in a few hours, and the next time you boot up Commando will be to download the Street Fighter demo.
It's a little sneaky of Capcom to bundle it like that, but I love SF so I bought Commando anyway.
It worked for microsoft with Crackdown and Halo 3 so now everybody is going to be doing it. For the record I bought crackdown for crackdown and played the halo beta maybe three times tops.

Good for gamerscore whoring though.

It has a metacritic score of 68 atm.
