@vexed alex, are you just talking about other GFW games in general? because the update module of GFWL which you have to use in order to even start the game doesn't work in Vista 64; and I cant imagine it would run in XP 64 either (considering that it runs in vista 32 so i doubt it's a vista issue rather than a 64 bit one).

What a pile of shit. This is why I play console games. This is why people pirate games. This is why people get angry and boycott spore.
I saw the list of DRM requirements and lost interest immediately (online activation AND disc check, really)?. Then there was no Steam or D2D preload and people started reporting a mass of technical issues. From looking at screenshots and specs on the forum it isn't that well optimised either because it frankly looks shit on decent hardware.

I must say I'm a little surprised.
games for windows live doesn't run on 64bit? LIES! I am running it just fine on my vista 64bit :O. As for the rest, ive been wanting to get gta4 for pc, but I shall wait awhile ;x and then jump on this pile of shit :D.

This is why I don't like PC gaming. Nothing against people who do, I just find for me that most of the time it's one headache after another. Then again I'm not too patient when it comes to playing my games.
I dont like GTA so it can live on consoles, I couldnt care less, if it gets an update and a nice score on the PC in reviews I may buy it for half the price.
But even then I will think about it, I will have to be very bored.
@dyslixec, theoretically it should. but go buy it and try and get it to run on 64. ;P hence broken/disaster. The whole point of the GFW program was to certify it for vista & 64 bit as well, but their certification process must be non-existent if this game was allowed to be released in its current state.
Also, I failed to mention another problem w/ the game. If you uninstall it, it leaves all the SecuROM on the computer as a parting gift.

Hrmm.. that must be something with the game itself, because all of my GFW games work just fine on windows 64bit .. tho i havent tried gtaIV, but GoW,Halo2,Fallout3 all work just fine :o.
