Why invest the time and money if nobody's going to buy it?

The Halo 1 port for PC sold extrememly well because the multiplayer was very fun, infact you can still find a far amount of people playing it now. The reason Halo 2 and GOW1 didn't sell very well was because:
a) they required windows Vista
b) they required Games for windows live
c) you had to pay extra for all the multiplayer features
Basically it was Microsofts fault by introducing these artificial limits.

@JKH13 - you're right about all that, but Halo 2 was also bad port. The mouse control was pretty nasty, and it didnt run nearly well enough for what it required. Gears is a lot better (as you'd expect from Epic) but its still definitely a 360 game, feeling out of place on pc. Take all those limits away and i still dont think it would have done that well in the end.

And Im with pedrovay.
Just because THEY wont bring it to PC, doesn't mean Micro$oft wont.

You can wait if you want, but I've never seen EPIC say there would be no PC version for Gears 1. In fact they hinted pretty heavily there would be. Which is a stark contrast to this comment. I don't see it as a trend.
