Rumortoid: Microsoft maybe replacing the 20gig hard drive with a 60gig?

So we all know about the supposed price drop for the Xbox 360 Pro system. But have you heard the rumor about them also giving it a bigger hard drive? Ars Technica did. Sounds like Microsoft wants to kill two birds with one stone by upping the HD size in their mid range system by giving you 40 more gigs as well as charging you $50 less. How thoughtful! Hopefully we'll find out when E3 rolls along.

This rumor has been flying around since january. Supposedly, production of the 20GB has been phased out, which led to short term supply problems, only to release the 60GB Pro SKU later on.

The supply conspiracy theory was probably false, 60GB always stuck around though so there is some merit to that I guess :)

about me

My life beyond Destructoid mainly consists of games. I play pretty much everything. Right now I own a Dreamcast, PS2, Xbox 360, PSP, DS Lite, NES, and a PS3. Some of my favorite games include; King of Fighters XI, Dead or Alive 4, Halo 3, Zelda, Timesplitters, SSX 3, Shadow Of The Colossus, Rock Band, and of course Metal Gear Solid is tops. I also work part time at GameStop.

Besides gaming, I'm also a writer, editor, voice actor, and the community guy of KOtic Kitten Productions.
In addition to all that, I'm a prop modeller for New Era Games.
