Struggle. That's the theme of this piece. I sort of half-wanted to do this monster and half didn't, for the fact that it's a shapeless mass of murder. Murder is awesome, shapeless bodies aren't. I had a ridiculously hard time with the composition of this piece, and I felt like I was painting a rubbery tree at times. When I got the postules rendered in, it became a lot easier to define the overall structure. In the game they're yellow, for this one they're red for the sake of art direction and consistency with the other pieces I've created thus far. I was a little unsure about parts of this painting, I'm sure it shows a little. Overall it was a fun learning experience and I hope you guys can enjoy it too.

shit looks pretty awesome. Though I can't help but say I expected some hentacle rape of some sort.

still. For a "meh" monster/virus in RE5, it's overall good. Not too crazy yet not too simple. Direct. Not hard to figure out where the main 2 attention getters are.

I have no clue what an Uroboro is, but it looks scary.

Definately a Giger vibe in the bottom right quadrant of your piece. Looks a bit like a hidden alien. I notice it only because I was reading/slobbering over the Giger Alien art/making of book.

You definately have a crazy vibe going- how about a Katamari piece, or even better, your interpretation of one of the bosses from MGS3, as they were the most over the top of the bunch.

I have a friend at Full Sail, glad to see he is among good company. I like the piece, the white lights on the end of the tentacle bits reminds me a bit of the biomechanical style of the Blame! manga.
