Orange Box Advice, 360 or PC
Tino | 12:20 PM on 10.10.2007 13 comments

So, I have them both pre-ordered and I'm planning on picking up one of them tonight.

The big dilemma is, Orange Box on the 360 or the PC. I really want it on my PC, but thats been acting up lately. Plus if I get it on PC, I can give a few pieces of it away. (HL2, HL2EP1) However my PC gaming has been sparse lately. When I play FPS games there is a slight delay when I move my mouse to when it moves my aimer in the game unless I reduce the resolution quite a lot. What on Earth could be causing that?

I wouldn't mind playing through the whole game again on the 360 but are the graphics going to be anywhere as nice as they were on the PC?

I'm in a dilemma fellow Robots, please advise.

I'm leaning closer to the PC version, despite stupid aiming issues.

Is anyone even getting the 360 version? Anyone at all?

Is this post awesome? Vote it up!

I can't imagine playing it with a 360 controller. The system reqs are really low; I can run it at 1920x1200 on my laptop with most graphical settings on high with no problem. See if there are updated mouse drivers for the mouse you have, and try a different mouse as well to see if it's just a problem with the mouse you're using or a problem with your computer.

Yeah I recently got a new computer and while the game will run smooth as butter and look gorgeous I'll have little input lag (mouse and keyboard both, sorry) and everyone once and awhile the graphics will tear and things will go nuts.

My advice is what Grim said : TF2 on the PC will kick ass, but if you want to play with your friends get the 360 version.

if your computer is crappin out and your thinking of using your 360... I find this.. rather ironic

(Go for the PC version as you will most likely have noone to play with on Live, unless you know a few buddies on your friend list who are gonna pick it up as well)

I dont wanna condone this really, because its not fair... but google "xfps 360" if you want KB & Mouse, but want to use your 360

It really all depends on what kind of screen you like.

But a controller is alot more easy to use to me, not aiming wise, but moving around and easier to hold in your hands, yeah its nice.

i bought the 360 version like 2 mins ago, havent played it yet, but it'll probably be good.

Oh and XBL is NOT that laggy, seriously people, its not.

don't need a deticated server for everything you know, but hell, 360 verison might have the option to host a deticated server since you can player match.

I remember you could host deticateds in RTCW: Tides of war for the first xbox, sooo. yeah.
