Professional? No. Awesome? YES.

So as probably most of you are aware, there was a special podtoid released earlier today, where Rev& Jim invite the infamous Rob Summa, former Dtoid editor onto the show for a discussion, namely on Summa's actions towards Destructoid. naturally, this caused a monkey shit fight with a lot of monkeys coming from other monkey tribes and throwing ridiculous filth of various sizes and densities at our monkeys who were just telling it how it was. Their main chunk of crap says that this side episode was "unprofessional". So what? When has podtoid EVER been professional? If it was professional, it would be just a broadcast of news and organized, clean discussion of video games and related topics. Not the hilarious 1.5 hours of Jim rambling on with ridiculous notions, Aaron getting angry at Bonerquest, Samit....uh... defending sports...yeah. Do we really want it to play by the books?

To truly be "professional", one needs to cut out so much creativity and fun in their field in order to conform to the industry standards. That is important in mainstream media outlets such as the CBC, CNN, or even gaming sites like IGN and Gamespot, people who have assumed a role of strictly-business outlet for their news. And that is fine. Some people like their news that way. Tell the reader what must be said, and let them carry on. No space for different and radical takes, must appease the advertisers.

But not Destructoid.

Destructoid is the alternative. Yes, they both give news to the readers, and yes, they both love rubbing money on their nipples until they go raw. But as Summa himself said, we have the passion. And as passionate individuals, each of us is allowed and encouraged to express ourselves in our own ways. Creativity is what makes us so great and so different from every other mainstream site out there. Jim's countless non-news related articles are created purely out of his genius. Rev. Anthony's HAWP has taken the internet by storm. Our three podcasts are the source for so much within the community, and of course THE COMMUNITY! We have complied countless works of brilliant art, numerous games, and various other works of creativity, far too many to list. We all love Destructoid. It's our Whopper of a website. If it went away, people would be PISSED. I am an active user of the forums, and sadly, I usually can't think of anything to blog about, and I listen to two out of the three podcasts all the time, and I know I have not made much of an impact upon the community as some, that doesn't mean I don't love it. I have tried to include Mr. Destructoid into nearly every creative thing I have done in the past two years. Why? Because I love this site to much. And why do I love this site so much? Because we do whatever the hell we want and don't take guff from no one.

So if Destuctoid was to loose all of it's edgy takes on news, dangerous accusations of pedophilia, and it's true-to-heart integrity and pride, then I would not come here anymore, and I expect much of you would start to loose interest.

If I get any responses from people without avatars calling my history into question, go troll somewhere else, kids. I'm not a professional and I would be damned if I became one. Look at this post alone. I have a whole analogy about tribal Primate war with the main weapons being feces, with a header image of Victorian apes fighting with swords. You won't find things like that anywhere else.

I love Destructoid, and please, never change. Same applies to your underwear.

Tim here, pretty much my first real post. (I doodle!)

As I emerge from the rabble of the forums, to the sophisticated C-blogs, I hope not to be hit too hard by the wise sages that are our bloggers. Ok, enough brown nosing. I hope to join the sub-community of artists here, as I am getting into drawing, in hopes of eventually running my own webcomic, but for now, I'm just sketching anything and everything in my life right now. I'm not very good right now, but practice makes perfect. As Destructoid is a pretty big part of my life right now (I gotta kill time somewhere), I've made a couple little things for destructoid. I hope you enjoy my work, and hopefully there will be much more in the future :D

Here's one of Niero/ Mr. Destructoid.

And this one is dedicated to my favorite man in the internet, Jim, the luckiest boy in Mississippi.

Also, Happy St. Patty's day! Cheers!

I'm Tim. I support Pirates, Piracy (Except for games.), and anything to do with Pirates. I've been playing games as long as I can remember, and the PC has almost always been a loyal companion to me, growing up from Wolfenstein 3D, to Command and Conquer, to Diablo 2, to the Orange Box, and beyond. I am just as loyal to the PC as I am to Nintendo. I, like many other people my age, grew up with the Snes, N64, the GC, and now the Wii. I personally never owned any of them until the GC, but I had many friends who did. I only recently started blogging on Destructoid, mainly because I never really had anything to say until now... I have been fairly active on the Forums though, checking them out a few times a day, posting when I can actually say something that is relevant, etc.

So yeah, I hope to getting around to making a few more Blogs, but I will only write about what I believe in. Integrity Ftw. However I do have a tendency to blog drunk.... hope that doesn't get me banned....
