Honestly, I liked the V-blog style more. It fits the tone of the site a little more and doesn't feel forced or anything. It's like a video version of Podtoid.
Jon and Andy's stuff was good too though and it has it's place too so I wouldn't get rid of that either.

Im a big fan of the videos, with big events I think its great. I believe it comes off with alot more understanding of how you feel about the aspects that you liked/disliked.
I could never chose one over the other... I will say, though, that anything with Jonathan Holmes is fucking priceless!
I wish I were related to him.

I changed the question because I didn't want to pit my videos vs. Mr. Holmes'. Jonathan and Andy did a fantastic job on their own, and these more v-log like videos would hopefully be in addition to their hard work!
The personality found in V-logs perfectly represent the nature of Destructoid. It's like getting post cards from best friends... with dolphin loving tendencies, cleavage, and funny hand motions!
I really like the mix between the two! I hope the question wasn't proposed in order to choose one over the other!

@the revised question - Oh, hell yeah!
If hands-on impressions can be told through humorous videos, I'm all for it. For a tight-knit community such as Dtoid, I say it makes perfect sense!

I would like to see these during Comic Con, oh wait I will be there doing both kinds of things (maybe if my laptop stops being a bitch). The sweater is amazing.
I really like both. With theirs you get a little more straight out what went on and such. Though with your videos it's nice to see people having fun and get that humorous approach to it. I think there's definitely room for both and it's nice to see both of them so neither one ends up getting old. :) I <3 you Tiff! PILLOW FOOOOOOOOORT!
I absolutely love the v-blog approach, and have huge admiration (and envy) for Tiff and Chad and their ability to be so damn entertaining without the need for fancy edits and background music.
If the Chad and Tiff had their own show, I'd have already bought the first season.

Definitely preferred the videos. Usually, when the impressions go up, I don't always have time to read them, which makes me feel like a dick for skipping over something that was obviously spent a lot of time on (bad grammar alert), but with the videos, its not so hard to watch them, and you get a better idea of what you actually thought of the game. Its kind of hard to display the intensities of your feelings toward a game with writing.
Casual is very good. Tiff face is also very good. Chad vest is even more very good. A slice of Holmes on Andywich bread is very good too... Okay, I'm losing myself. I'll go away now.
I agree...the v-log approach was so amazing! It was very casual and very representative of how close this community is :D
Also, sweaters!
Also, sweaters!
I also enjoyed the V-blogs. I agree that it definitely captures the spirit of Destructoid and just makes this place stand out as a real community even more.
Also Tiff, yours was the best because you slurred through the word "Bethesda". I am still working on saying it sober..... :D

I find that the casual v-log approach is more honest about what the recorder saw than your standard video report. Glad you had fun, and I am jealous about Comic con. Have a blast.
SPORTS!
I would be all over v-blog if my internets didn't suck ass. There should be a youtube channel for Dtoid so I can watch it on my phone.

I liked the casual blogging stuff. It made me feel a bit like I was there. It just feels a little more personal, I guess, and it's nice to get that from a gaming Web site. :)
Not that you really needed any more confirmation, but the videos were great. They fit well with the overall feel of Dtoid and how the editors are just like everyone else (well, for the most part). Taking a more intimate and personal approach to the videos was a fantastic idea.
