Growing up during the golden age of adventures games has greatly impacted my personal tastes in videogames. Lord knows if you point out a three-headed monkey behind me or drop 12-octaves and begin chanting NUR-AB-SAL there will be an everlasting bond between us that withstands all varieties of flux capacitors.
The same applies to certain Reverends named Anthony who bestowed upon me a novelty replica of the
Ask Me About LOOM™ pin from the
saloon scene in
The Secret of Monkey Island. Last Saturday I wore this out to a bar, and five people asked me about LOOM™. Success!
So yeah. You're a real dick sometimes, Anthony, but it would take at least 1.21 jigawatts to deter me from yielding at least a baker's dozen of less-than-threes in exchange for this pin. LESS THAN THREEEEEEEEEE (x 13)! Also:
Originally from LOOM™, when Chaos tries to persuade Bobbin to give him access to, well, the Loom.*Chuckle*
P.S. Re-live the ultimate Scumm wet-dream in this
screen-shot saturated archive of game art from the classic LucasArts games!
"Aye."
(god i'm a dork)
You and me
take me on my fantasy
meet me here in IRC
el oh el oh el.
I'll orichalchum all over your face.
*badum*chhk*
Just kidding. That's gross. Plus, I need all them beads to get to Atlantis.
It's amazing.
So, um...what’s LOOM™?
<333
So... LOOM™.
What the hell is it?
If I wore it, people looked at me funny. If I didn't my church friends would shame me.
High school was hard.
BUT NOW I'M GOING TO BIZERKELEY!!!!! WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!
Less than three
(I got rejected from Berkeley! +1 you!)
You are super inspirational, and if you ever need a letter of recommendation for cool people places, I'd write one.
Besides, Berkeley is full of pretentious people. I just hope I won't ever be one.
However, I got in on an English major. Those aren't very hard to get away with. It's all BS. I passed an AP test on Pride and Prejudice w/o reading the book. I just watched the movie.
Right now, I am working on an essay about Hamlet. Yeah, it sucks.
But I'm still stoked. Hella stoked (East bay FTW)
But I always go through every single line of dialog when the pirate at the scumm bar talks about Loom to Treepwood. ^_^
Seriously, "How appropriate, you fight like a cow!" is the best comeback to any real world situation.
I am rubber. You are glue.
Besides glue.
You mean the newest graphical adventure by master storyteller Brian Moriarty?
yesssssssssssssssssssssss!
Heh. LOOM™ was a little spooky for a little kid sometimes. In fact, when one of the evil guys' head gets lopped off and it flies across the screen in all of its pixelated glory, I had nightmares for days!
Tiff, do you have the Loom audio drama? If not, would you like it?
