I've been working on computers since I was 9 years old. The reason I became interested in computer tech is because I was mad our computer couldn't play Doom, and I didn't understand why. From that point on I devoted my time to figuring out what 8bit meant for the NES, and how computers worked, so I could always play the games I wanted to. 19 years later, and about a decade of being a professional computer tech, I still love the new innovations, and games coming out today.
Now that I'm older I see the bright future with new technology (Unreal Engine 4 looks sick,) I can't help but feel that our culture is going the other direction. Where 3D printers are almost like replicators on Star Trek, and the new Google glass, it seems everything else in the world is falling back in to the dark ages. I want to push forward using new technology to help promote freedom, and personal liberty again. The more power we have as individuals the less control others can have on us. I'm looking to connect with like minded individuals who like the tech, and entertainment, in our culture, but would like to try to alter it's course.
