He's unique! You always know when you're reading an article written by him. :)
i dunno...jim's funny. He makes me laugh at times and angry at times...you know like anyone on the internet. He presents good and bad articles. In the end he's a decent guy who just tries to make people excited about games. Plus he knows a crap ton about Sonic, which is necessary on this the birthday of the Dreamcast.

And to clarify, he isn't a Sonybasher from what I recollect. In fact, if you have done your research, he plays games on every consoles. Based on your "findings", the only conclusion I've reached is you have clearly not done your homework.
Several things stick out about Jim Sterling:
+His disturbing images, while funny, lack the integrity a videogame news site should have.
+His reviews are often written as if he barely plays the games he's reviewing (for any console).
+He responds too often to comments to his story, as if he requires to get the last word in.
I think this can all be exemplified in a story he wrote awhile back:

There are MANY things wrong with this
+It lacked Journalistic Integrity, what are we? The Nation Enquirer/Globe of the Gaming News Sites?
+If someone was going on Destructoid for the first time and that was what they saw on the first page, immediately, any credibility the site has is now out the window. And with 145 Comments, a lot of people DID see it.
+It is an attack on the head of a very large part of the Gaming Market. To make such a story could (and luckily didn't) cause a shunning between Nintendo and Destructoid.
+It caused a war between the commentors. People defending Jim said the others lacked a sense of humor. The people against Jim said the others were ruining Destructoid. Whoever was right or wrong, strife between the members occurred.
+Editorials are far different than News Posts. And this was intended as a News Post.
However, I will play the devil's advocate:
+Jim Sterling is a hard worker who makes a LOT of posts on Destructoid
+He finds new stories fairly quickly
+His video series parody on gaming is funny
+Although I do not appreciate what Jim is doing, he's a part of the community and we can't just censor him under the rug, I only wish that he improves his quality of work. Forgive and forget.
I want to make judgments about your character TheLegendaryMan, but I think as shown in the rest of the comments, the message is already obviously given.
Also, I agree with Char Aznable's suggestion to read that book, it makes your writing twice as good.
Last, this is not a good subject for C-Blog, let alone a decent C-Blog, issues where you want to debate with other members go in the forum. The flamewar you're causing now is not only lacking ground, but it's causing strife between the community. I'm predicting this blog to be put into the FailBlog section of the Recap tonight.
Well first of i am by no means attacking Jim or think that Jim is a sony basher.I just couldnt understand all the hate around him.
And secondly yes i think that this would be more suitable in a forums but i am not interested in forums.Also i am rather new to Blogging so you can say i am a noob.
Thirdly.I think i forgot to mention something.I am 15 years old and currently living in Greece.English isnt my native language.Also i learned english by my self and with the help of scholls.Even through i am the best in the whole school i still make mistakes.Still i will track down a copy and read the book.

You'll agree with him sometimes, and disagree with him other times, and that's the bread and butter of any forum of likewise minds.
You people have to remember, there are plenty of gaming sites out there that get deep and thoughtful into the ins and out of the games industry, something Dtoid does too. But unlike those others, Dtoid is also about having fun with and about gaming culture, from the good and sweet, to the sour and weirdly bad. How many sites have a sense of humour? Very few indeed.
With all this knowledge on a plate, I think Jim does okay. He's a games enthusiast/journo and does his job well.
As for replying to his posts, that's one of the best things about him. On many sites, you'd not get the same service, to connect you with those who toil for us all. If other Dtoid members also replied as much to their posts, we'd wave their flags more too. I'd like to see the others step up their game too.
