Yea I hope the whole community leaves actually. I would love to see gamespot cry or spin this so Jeff comes back.
If I was Jeff I would start a blog of my own or a Video blog Review on youtube or something.
But I am sure some one will pick him up
No, unfortunantely. That number will probably go up, but unless it hits a crazy high noone will care.
Ahahahahahaha
is there anybody defending this?
found my answer: yes
"And amid all this, ponder this fact--why is the review still posted? Surely if Eidos had the power to have the reviewer fired, the review itself would disappear or be rewritten, too."
Uh...Wasn't his video review pulled? I'm pretty sure it was.
From today's Penny-arcade:
"I will tell you the Gerstmann Story as we heard it. Management claimed to have spoken to Jeff about his "tone" before, and no doubt it was this tone that created tensions between their editorial content, the direction of the site, and the carefully crafted relationships that allowed Gamespot to act as an engine of revenue creation. After Gerstmann's savage flogging of Kane & Lynch, a game whose marketing investment on Gamespot alone reached into the hundreds of thousands, Eidos (we are told) pulled hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of future advertising from the site."
"IT'S OVER THREE THOUSAAANDD!!!!
4k and counting.
And... post removed.... gogo gamespot.
There's some crazy rumor that Jeff didn't play through the entire game. This is supposedly due to the fact that his linked GamerTag, GameSpotting, does not have the "Completed Game" achievement. Now, if this is true Gerstman is getting fired was not simply because of the reviews score for Kane and Lynch - but because he didn't actually play through the game.
Needless to say, I have serious doubts that this rumor can be trusted. Why couldn't Gerstman have played through the game on a different GamerTag? We can't prove that he didn't play through the game, only that he didn't do it on the GamerTag "GameSpotting."
Alright, time for my nap now....
*yawns*
This could have all been avoided if Eidos made a good game
The post was removed. In Soviet Gamespot you do not review the games. The games review you.
What Douchebags, both Gamespot and Eidos.
regardless if the post is taken off, that number is gonna shoot through the roof.
