it's official, your blog was boring.
I think it holds up pretty damn well.
Every little spot in the game no matter what direction you look at it, is its own. It really does bring the promise of a immersive world.
Lives up to the hype.
I'm still sleeping in a shithole with a pullout bed, so time will tell. Those ass munches have beaten the game already, I'd imagine.
Give it time, many other games overtook Ocarina of Time for a few weeks after their debuts, but things will probably change soon.
I'm surprised by Game Ranking.
20 reviews, Average Review is 7.6 with an Average Score of 98.850%.
Now I am no Mathematician or what not but...how is that possible? Am I missing something?
Yeah, someone just toled me "Average Vote" not review is reader reviews...I don't go to the site anyways.
There will be far more than 20 reviews for the game, and early reviews are often high. We saw the same thing when Super Mario Galaxy was released. It doesn't take many 9/10 reviews to dethrone an early #1.
I doubt reviewers were bought off, though. Rockstar didn't need to. Jim's impressions of the game came from a typical gamer standpoint -- that is, getting frustrated 10 minutes in when you haven't yet mastered the game. Reviewers knew they were in for a required 40 hours, so their patience probably wasn't tested as much.
I disagree
My inherent cynicism tells me that the paid review rumor sounds likely. Then again, I always thought people were too kind to the GTA series.
Zelda OOT is better still.
GTA is great, excellent even, but its no OOT.
Bought my copy at 12:18am this morning BIZZAM! Then I went home to bed as I had to get up at 7 :(
Mix: I'm in the exact same boat. Got home and played for half an hour since I had work at 8. :(
Leaving early for some goodness, though.
It was a real stab in the balls to wake up to my roommate playing it, though.
@TheDragon
Nice! The roommate part, not so nice. Get a DVD labeler and make a print of GTA then scratch the disc all up and get pissed at your roommate for ruining your brand new game...lol
