RUMOR - Splinter Cell: Convicition "officially on hold"

Originally slated for a 2007 release, Ubisoft�s 5th title in the Splinter Cell series, Splinter Cell: Conviction, may be delayed until holiday 2009, possibly spring of 2010 (will the 360 still be around?). According to this CVG article, Xbox World 360 magazine is reporting the title has been put �officially on hold� by Ubi Montreal. With last year�s demo of combat and crowd interaction, strangely reminiscent of Ubi�s own Assassin�s Creed, could it have been outdated by its own tech, as the article suggests? Was this game even on your radar?

You liked Pandora tomorrow and thought Chaos Theory sucked.

I'm having so much trouble accepting that, Pandora was complete and utter shit, Shangai just raped the SC series with that version and Chaos Theory saved them.

I enjoyed the last gae in the series and was quite looking forward to playing the nex installment. I completely forgot about it after a while though. So while this does bother me Im sure I'll get over it.

I played the first 3 SC's and they were all some of my favourite games on the Xbox. Chaos Theory was my favourite and while Pandora Tomorrow was my least favorite, I still liked it. I'm kinda relieved Conviction isn't coming out any time soon, this year is gonna rape my wallet as it is.

Chaos Theory was the first Splinter Cell game I played and I loved it. I got Double Agent for 360 and it blew dick. I sold it after like 3 or 4 levels.

I was actually interested in this new one because it reminded me of the Bourne films kind of, but now that there's an actual Bourne game... I just don't really see the point unless it can definitely do it better. Oh well.

Too bad. I really with they could make another Chaos Theory, it was an amazing game.
