Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
In fact, that sighting of Ikaruga on PartnerNet all that time ago was what spurred me to buy a 360 in the first place. And it finally became a reality!
Of course, owning MGS in two forms (PS1 version and the Twin Snakes remake) already I have no particular want for this title.
However, it'd be pretty cool, and with compression these days? I'm sure it wouldn't be as hard as people think. The only question would be how the visuals would (or wouldn't) hold up. That game is fucking ugly by today's standards (shown by the MGS1 Snake mask in MGS4). Unless the polys were upped or it was upresed to 1080p or something, it would not be the most pleasant thing to see.
It's be pretty cool though nonetheless.
they could always use the Twin Snakes base as a start for better graphics...them bump it up to HD. Just a thought.
no one noticed the semi Bleemcast reference there? phail for a phail dreamcast add on.
Or they could just get Rockstar's compression algorithms and make the game about 25 MB, right? Hah, I wish.
if it's that much of a hassel, then well Microsoft needs to loosen up those highwater bandwitch pants.
BAM Motha' fuckaaaa'
I'd be incredibly surprised to see any MGS game, though.
Seriously, it will. Just like Gears of War 3 is going to come to PS3. And Bioshock. And... well, you get the point. Developers need money. Just like you and me (I).
