BioShock PS3: September 2008
The Wrath | 5:16 PM on 05.16.2008 18 comments

That's what they say at least. They being NeoGaf member SuperSonic1305 and his posting of EGM June 2008 Reviews and Rumors. The PS3 version is rumored to contain all the DLC available on the 360, as well as improved visuals. It is supposedly scheduled for a September release. BioShock 2 is also rumored to be appearing around the same time. Not having played Bioshock (mainly due to not owning a 360 and not gaming on my PC), I'm intrigued by this news, but also kind of "meh". Nothing I've seen or read about the game screams anything other than FPS with a good story, but still an FPS. Was Rapture that cool? Or just rinse and repeat?

Rapture was that cool, but I'm more interested in the persona games mentioned in that thread for the PSP and PS3. Now that could convince me to buy a PS3.

....

So you haven't read much then? BioShock was the single greatest gaming experience of last year. For me, it was the single greatest gaming experience I have ever had the pleasure of playing through.

This is excellent news, even though I already have it on the 360, if it's true, I might consider getting it on the PS3 too.

Bioshock had a great story (except towards the end), but the game play isn't the greatest that some people make it out to be.

Pretty good news for PS3 owners as who don't have a gaming computer, the game was (IS) a pretty good experience.

If this is actually true, I will shit a brick. BioShock is one of the very few 360-exclusive games that I, as a PS3 owner, am sad to be missing out on.

@Samit: I agree. I have yet to jump to the "next-gen" and am planning on purchasing a PS3. This would make me a very happy gamer as it's one of the few games for the 360 I would want to play.

Yes Rapture was that cool but didnt this whole Bioshock PS3 rumour run its course a long time ago. I was under the impression that Microsoft paid, alot, for this to be an XBox exclusive and something tells me that its gonna stay that way.

I found it rather boring. I fell asleep literally.

Damn EDS, that doesn't sound any good.

I will probably get this game eventually but it took them a bit too long to shit some bricks.

Bioshock is cool as well. I just want a new Thief game.

The end was a little unsatisfying but the entire game was absolutely mindblowing. It took my GOTY by a long shot.

I'm not a shooter fan, but I am really enjoying Bioshock.
I'm playing on easy mode, and am free to explore slowly without really worrying about dying. The little diary recordings you find around are pretty fascinating stuff.
I'm not sure what a big shooter fan would get out of it; the guy I borrowed it from is a big shooter fan, and didn't think much of it. I think it depends on what you play a game for.

bought it for 360

then bought it for PC

ill buy it for PS3 too if they actually improve the graphics over PC, but i have a HD3870 so i have my doubts about that :P

hope 2K does a better job porting it than they did w/ the darkness
