I thought I would run my last feasible comparison series while Borderlands is still fresh out of the oven. Speaking of culinary analogies, Borderlands is the type of bread that stays fresh long after it's bake date. Everytime I think I'm close to being done (because I want to play Dragon Age next week), I find myself amazed how vast the game really is.
B = Borderlands
T = Too Human
Graphics

T: 7
Comment: If everyone remembers, Silicone Knights filed a big law suit (what happened to it?) against Epic for breach of contract among other things regarding the Unreal engine. TH ran on its own graphical engine, and was for the most part an okay game to look at. Character models looked really stiff though. Cut-scenes were pretty meh.
Sound:
B: 10
T: 7
Comment: I don't remember too much about the sound in TH, it was pretty okay for the most part but nothing atonashing.
Gameplay:
B: 10
T : 4
Comment: At first, I thought the combat was pretty flawless using my beserker against massive waves of little robots but it became quite clear -- the massive flaws found later in the game. Simply put, TH just wasn't fun overall. The Valkyrie, the dumbest design mistake in recent memory.
Story:
B: 8
T: 4
Comments: The norse mythology is a great start for a story. The actual implementation in TH is nothing short of a snoozer however. I still kind of like the whole Vault thing in Borderlands with all the little predictable twists and turns. It worked in Fallout and it still works okay in Borderlands.
Characterization
B: 10
T: 7
Comments: Claptraps are so fucking funny. TH had some interesting ideas for characters but, just like the story, it all fell apart in the final implementation.
Role Playing:
B: 10
T: 5
Comments: Borderlands did it right with leveling up. It's fun, it's addictive, and rewarding at the same time. The skill-tree in TH just felt boring and repetitive.
Replayability and value
B: 10
T: 3
Comments: Borderlands is pretty damn vast. TH is incredibly short in comparison. TH just feels unfinished.
Achievements:
B: 10
T: 7
Comments: Still haven't maxed TH, still don't care to play through some of the incredibly frusterating levels without dying. A pretty easy 700 though.
Multiplayer:
B: 9
T: 5
Comment: 4-player co-op should be standard today. You can jump into a friend's game at any time which is awesome. The trading system is, well, nonexistent in Borderlands. Too Human featured only 2-player co-op boooo!
Overall average:
B: 9.6
T: 5.4
Conclusion: This is a no-brainer, Borderlands is everything TH could have been and promised to be. Everything from the loot system, the graphics, mood, and rpg system. TH pales in comparsion.
And as a bonus, the

"Can you meet me halfway, right in the Borderlands
That's where I'm gonna wait for you
I've been levelin' up, night and day
Took my Soldier to the limit, and this is where I stay
Ooh, Ooh, I can't level up any further than this
Ooh, Ooh, cheap DLC is my only wish"
