Destructoid Cards: Booster Pack 2

SUPERSIZED SATURDAY EDITION

Hoo boy, If things keep going this smoothly I may actually make it through half of the requests!

I got all vaccinated and drugged up yesterday in preparation for a trip I'm taking to Zambia to go teach some nurses. So I'm not sure what's on these cards, it could just be a bunch of jpegs with the words DOLPHIN PENUS LOL over top of a rainbow rhinoceros for all I know, but I guess we'll just have to see won't we?

Destructoid booster pack #2:



Matthew Blake card notes: I was pleasantly surprised by how quickly this one came together, since I had assumed it would be a tough one. Not so! If you haven't heard of Lewis Carrol's Jabberwocky, you should go edumacate yourself with a quickness, and once you're done check out Matts version, I really enjoyed it. As you can probably gather from the card, Mr. Blake has a pretty cool cartoony art style and made my search for ability icons easy. How could I say no to vikings?



Guitar Atomik card notes: The man, the myth, the legend. What can I tell you that you shouldn't already know? The dude puts out some great music, great art and wrote one of my favorite c-blog posts of all time. Oh, and he made the "I'm a shark, suck my dick" video.

Daym, that kid is off the chain!



Kyle Gamgee card notes: One of the first people to welcome me to Destructoid, Kyle and his awesome wife have a special place in my heart. Speaking of Mamadonna, if you haven't seen her epic intro thread of epicness, you're not really living life, just a hollow shell of one. Yeah, I know that Pheonix Blood (did I spell it right? ;) ) already pimped it a while back in this awesome "never forget" blog, but for reals: it's LEGENDARY and thus you can't over-pimp it.



Surf314 card notes: One of my favorite DToiders, Surf has a penchant for writing stories, one of which we'll hopefully read someday in comic book form. When he isn't writing Surf is a big-wig in the Steam community, being instrumental in getting events like obscure mod Thursdays and Titan Quest Wednesdays up and running. When he isn't doing THAT, he's getting blown up or shot by me in TF2, all whilst basking in the glow of Kors sexy voice. The Sherlock Holmes reference is from a series of c-blogs that he did a while back, check 'em out! Ability icons are the original Sherlock Holmes hat, which is only slightly more awesome than the hat that he has on in his portrait.



Silverback55 card notes: This one was tough. Not a whole lot to go on, so I went full bore with my first idea: a Mecha Godzilla theme, and yes Mecha Godzilla III was actually made to combat another Godzilla using the first Godzillas skeleton. Awesome, I know.

Like the title said; this is a supersized edition, with many non card related tangents and links for your clicking pleasure. I probably won't make future installments quite so... descriptive, but we'll see. When I do a card for someone awesome I just feel the need to do a little profile of that person. As for how many I'll get through; we'll see. If things keep going this smooth, then I could keep it up until I leave for Zambia, but only time will tell...

It's been cool learning about various DToiders while doing this little project though. The research phase has learned me a thing or three about a few people already.
