WHEN they own Take Two, they aren't going to touch Rockstar. They aren't going to fuck something up that is doing well. Just like Activison isn't going to lay hands on Blizzard.
If anything, having EA's wallet free to Rockstar will bring out some more insanity they couldn't achieve in their current situation.
Rockstar bhave said that they won't make GTA anymore though if EA gets their hands on Take Two.

EA's not stupid. they do very well with taking over existing IP's and not spoiling them.
i'd like to think if EA buys take 2, they will treat rockstar like they treat harmonix, let them do their own thing, and then watch the money roll in.
i think rock band actually benefitted from being under the EA umbrealla. had more funds to throw at it, and it turned out pretty damn good.

Also, when they own Take Two and IF every artist in RockStar jumps ship, I'm pretty sure that, if needed, a different studio can make a great Grand Theft Auto game.
There's more numbers and less magic involved in making a GTA, as opposed to many mascot franchise games.

If that's Rockstar's position on it then EA will take brand away from them and develop it themselves internally.
EA's not afraid to drive a brand into the ground for the sake of profits off of people who'd buy it no matter what.

Yeah, that Ricitello guy, the biggest cunt at EA said that he would 'make GTA without Rockstar' That's the bit that worries me. If it were a case of EA just giving Rockstar more money to make better games, I'd be all for it. But you're right, they'll just run it into the ground. Not to mention, that out here in the UK, EA have taken to charging £50 for all their games, that's nearly $100. It sucks out here...
I already own stock in Take-Two. Done and done.

There are 2 ways to buy stock that I know of:
1. Get it through your bank. They can buy it for you, but it may take around 4 days and you'll pay the price on the day it gets bought, not the day you ask for it to get bought.
2. A stock-broker. Which is more reliable, but they will charge you a little for their services.
Thanks guys. As dumb and as idealistic as all this may be, a world where EA owns absolutely every major franchise is a shitty one.
Um Faux Bot *SLAP*. ALL THE FUCKING GAMES COST 50 FUCKING POUNDS IN BRITIAN! Also for the last time EA want Take 2's sports games, not actually GTA, they just want T2 before the prices go through the roof for stock. GTA will be left alone, however if Rockstar (who own the GTA IP btw) decide to give up then as Ricotello said, EA wouldn't be against continuing the franchise without them. They aren't going to go in and say "HAI ROCKSTARZ FUCK OFF!" they would see what happens with GTA and leave well alone until theyre is a drop in sales.

All EA is trying to do is get enough IP's together so they can release their own console and only put those big budget games on the console so that they will rule both consoles and games.

Where do you shop? I work in GAME and all 360 titles are £40, except for EA ones. As for PS3, they're abit more varied. My point is, the more games owned by EA, the more that cost £50 which is fucking ridiculous.

lol. Yeah, in this months GI there was talk about EA releaseing their own console. They are waiting to see how Sony's console does in the long run before they attack. I don't think I will buy a EA console, but if its the only console that will have Bioshock, GTA4, Madded Shit & and all other IP's, I might be persuaded.
What a waste... Making Madden 08 sooo shotty for the PS3, with Vince Young on the cover...
