So an Uncle of a friend has informed said friend who has informed me that the PS3 is in talks to be dropped another $100. It is not finalized but according to him "It will happen by December or early next year." This will make 80 gigabyte PSTwiples only $300. Even though MGS4 is tempting those of us who have no PS3 I might just wait and buy it later saving the $100 to buy MGS4 and another game.

If this comes through, it'll probably be just enough to push me over the brink towards completing my collection of current-gen hardware. Now that I'm finally starting to see games I'm interested in playing come to the system, a price drop of this magnitude is about all I'll need to take the plunge.

Coffeesash has a point. I'm waiting 'til I move into my apartment and I have some extra funds lying around. Until then, no PS3 for me.

I'll wait, other than Uncharted and MGS4, there's not much I want on the PS3 anyway. When White Knight Stories hits, consider me sold.

They had better have cracked the damn thing open by that time too! I need my easy x264 streaming media center :P

....i'll have to wait anyway. Though if I was that desperate, i'd just buy one now at best buy, get a replacement plan, game set match.
