King of Fighters XIII? Already?

So browsing the King of Fighters SRK section, someone produced these images, taken from the Neo-Arcadia forums King of Fighters XII thread. Now, I can't read Japanese, and no one in the thread can, so what magazine this comes from and what is talked about on the page is a mystery. Me saying that this is King of Fighters XIII is complete speculation by everyone.

A lot off people have older stances. The sprites, if they are that, all look a lot cleaner then what KoF XII has. Ralf and Clark have yet to start using steroids. Leona has her old outfit (I like the current one *frown*). Athena doesn't have Chun Li legs anymore. Elizabeth has a new outfit akin to Lichi from BlazBlue. No Mature either.

And we have three new characters at the bottom there? A lot of people think they are from an older KoF game, but others are rebuking that idea.

Now, I'm real happy with KoF XII. Despite my gripes, I fucking love the game. To possibly see XIII so soon? Uh...I don't like that idea. It also gives me the impression that SNK launched XII with the intention of immediately telling it to fuck off, or even started on this while working on XII.

Well, the most I or anyone else can say until someone translates the pages is "Huh."

Considering how bare-bones XII is, if this really is XIII, all I can say is: what a cash in.

I don't see why it's a surprise. People bitched about KoFXII taking too long so they basically made KoFXII the beta into the new artstyle. If this is early concepts of KoFXIII, i'm not at all surprised.

and the 3 at the bottom....i'm going to say 3 designs for the bad guys we haven't fully seen yet. Though the guy in the middle reminds me of Goenitz thanks to the hair. But i'm gonna stick with these 3 being the "New Face" team of the Ash Saga.

Call me stupid but on the top of the page it says: The King of Fighters XII. I call concept art of KoF XII, not XIII.

What takeshi said. There's nothing on the page that would give anyone the idea that it's XIII, and Mature wasn't in the arcade version. Probably just showcasing spritework for that.

All the text is way too small. But the thing on the top said Rough Sketch. So maybe just the concept art.

While I believe that KOF XIII would be a cashin, it would also be a much better and more complete game.

I think XII has most of the art down, and the combat. All we need now to make the next KOF better is content.

Yeah, I'd guess concept art that was scrapped. The guy in the bottom center has a boss look to him, maybe XII will get a proper story mode or DLC characters at some point.
