So, incase you haven't figured out by my few friends on the right there, the only people I really knew on Dtoid before the NARP was SteamyV and Sevink. Both of which I know through friends, coworkers, and even have worked with them before.

Well, on Saturday after picking up Darkrai at ToysRUs, but before heading to Wild Wings, I went to another ex-co-worker's wedding.

It turned out that SteamyV was there.

So, what do we do? Do we sit there and act like a normal person would during a wedding?

Nope. We talked about Comics, Star Wars, Star Wars EU (Separated due to the fact that one is essentially 10x nerdier than the other), Rock Band, EA, voice casts for the new Transformers cartoon, and pretty much everything that shouldn't be discussed during a Wedding and it's Reception.

Most normal people would WTF at this, but me? I thought it was awesome.

Sadly, not every wedding I've been too has been this awesome.

However, every wedding SHOULD make you think this when it's over:



As Steamy and I chatted about Star Wars, I was happy to learn he liked Boba Fett, for the right reasons. You may be like "What?", but I'll explain in a second.

There's 3 kinds of people when it comes to Boba Fett:

1) Lol he's awesome cuz of all da stuff people do on the internets with him!
2) I've liked him for several years, because he's badass.
3) I liked Starwars forever, and Boba Fett was only cool because his toy was the rarest, all you people are lame ;(

90% of the people who think Boba is awesome fall into category one. Sure, MC Chris made a funny rap about Boba Fett. Sure, Family Guy/Robot Chicken makes neat jokes about him. But that's not why Boba is awesome.

Boba is awesome for quite a few reasons.

1) He's masked the entire (original) trilogy. That may not seem important, but I remember thinking Vader was awesome. Then they gave him a face and he lost that whole "Mysterious Ass Kicker" vibe. Not knowing what Mr. Fett looked like made him badass, and made it more emersive when I was a kid playing with my SW toys. I could be Boba Fett, because who the fuck knows what he looks like? Of course, the new movies kinda ruined it, but oh well.

2) Him and his father are what Clone Troopers and eventually Storm Troopers are based on, both in genetics and looks. Sure, the Troopers can't shoot for shit, but they're some of the coolest looking troops in anything ever.

3) Vader don't fuck with him. Steamy brought this up, and it was a fucking amazing point. Think about it, if Vader was unhappy he choked a bitch. Not much unlike Wayne Brady.



But seriously, there's one person he never really got super pissed at, and that's Boba. Sure, vader could kick his ass probably, but that's besides the point. Due to respect, street cred, whatever, he didn't ever get pissed at Boba.

4) Speaking of Boba fighting, he's pretty much the only Character who can almost pull off the same shit as a Jedi. Jump really high? Fuck you! I got a jetpack. Lightning? How about flamethrowers? Force Grab? Meet Mr. Grappling hook.

He seriously has a weapon for almost anything. Which makes him badass at Rock Paper Scissors. Infact, I always choose Boba when I play.
