Bioshock... and the sleepless nights to come
Tbomb | 10:47 PM on 08.21.2007 10 comments

While I sit here at my computer resting my eyes from the past 6 hrs of non-stop play, with my Big Daddy figure lurching over my keyboard and my 360 cooling down from its nuclear reactor heat levels... I realized Bioshock is absolutely amazing.
Throughout the day while at work I cringed as reports came in from all over the internets that the picture was chopped and didn't look right on wide screen TVs. Also which I found surprising was that some of the Big Daddy figures were broken.
Refusing to believe all that I had to find out for myself. Rushing home to get changed then running up to the mall my troubles were quickly laid to rest. I briskly walked from the store to my car and tore open that beautiful box to get that new game smell high... and to pop in the music CD. Tracks 1 and 3 great... 2 could have been better.
I'm not gonna go over the game play cause almost all of us have played the demo... and its great! This is one of those games that needs to be played w/ the lights off and volume cranked to 11. Everything as we saw in the demo is reconfirmed in the game. From the atmosphere to the sound effects this game as everything and more for what we all hoped for. Immersive to say the least.
Upon leaving my room to get a snack and mandatory bathroom break there was a moment were I thought I'd run into a Big Daddy upon leaving my room or hear a scream then scraping metal. But to no avail I was back in reality.
This is a must by for 360 owners...now hopefully Assassin's Creed will be just as good!
