RESISTANCE 2 (for now that is) We're getting more and more requests to get Warhawk and Resistance 2 co-op back in the FNF rotation. The R2 co-op matches tend to be quite long, therefor it's not very suitable for FNF. Either way it's great to go back to R2 because I've been looking forward to play some co-op with you all. Now the thing is that I don't know if any of you are willing to host a certain game and if people will show up. I can't remember who requested Warhawk and Resistance 2, it might have been one and the same person. And of course it doesn't only have to be Warhawk and Resistance 2 but having too many games will end up in the same problematic way as adding them to the FNF rotation. That's why I wanted to start with only two games. Also I've called this SNS because to me it sounds like the perfect night. If somebody wants a different night it's cool with me. But I can't use the Flotsam & Jetsam video therefor it sucks beforehand. And don't forget. The host for Warhawk needs to have quite a beefy connection. If I get my regular connection back I can host it pretty easily. 20 mbps down and 10 mbps up should be sufficient. But that will have to wait because the company I'm getting it from keeps messing it up. I hope this doesn't interferes with SRK Saturdays but the request I've got weren't from people who play fighting games that much. Correct me if I'm wrong. So four questions: 1: Would you like to join SNS? 2: Can you host a certain game? 3: Do you want any other games? 4: What time do you want it to start. I'm really looking forward to this! What say you?

Resistance 2 is so damn cool with a good team of friends. I'm looking forward fighting at your side. Yeah, damn those time-zones. Late for me is early for you. But I'll manage.

Maybe if we can gather enough people we can divide it in EU and US? There's quite a few of us so we'll have to see what happens.

Well there is that super hard mode now. (Can't remember the name) If you die you can only be revived by team members. So no more auto-revive after 30 or so seconds. I have played it only once but people refused to revive me. And I was the only spec-ops. Because they ran out of ammo everybody died after 5 minutes. Weird Russian bastards.
Anyway, yeah, we'll figure out the timing one way or another.
Oh yes that thing sucked! Haha, I was so very glad some of my PSN friends bought a new one. The back-ground noise that baby picks up is deafening. But it beats playing co-op without one. I'm looking at you Celica! ;)
Well, I use the PS-Eye as mic together with regular Sony wireless Headphones.

So comfortable it hurts! Or actually it doesn't hurt, not even after 12 straight hours of gaming. I've got a spare Sennheiser USB headset. Mic is great but after a short period it hurts my head because of the really hard plastic head-strap thing. Bloody dent in my skull. I don't like blue-tooth headsets. Sound in one ear? No thanks.

Yeah, you're right. We can add that game too if y'all want. I don't think I will be joining because R2 and Warhawk will take up all my time.
Saturday nights are usually date night with the husband... so any other night would actually be better for me (maybe Sunday nights?).
For Warhawk, I can host, but I have 15mbps up and I'm on the west coast of Canada... so it can sometimes create lag issues with people on the east coast (or in Europe) and my cable internet sometimes only allows me to host 12 instead of the usual 16. It's probably better is someone with better internet hosts (but I can maybe be a backup)
Any thoughts on breaking the two games up into separate nights? (maybe Warhawk Saturday and R2 Sunday?) I can easily play either game for 2-4 hours (and with two nights I would be more likely to be able to join in on at least one of the games.)
I'm flexible. The superhuman mode in R2 co-op is indeed awesome!! It really encourages teamwork - so should be a lot of fun!
also crash commando was awesome but needed more levels and weapons. good thing for the update. id play that again!
And unreal tournament 3 and red faction would be nice.
Also this is a great idea!! Unfortunately I'll have to rebuy Warhawk first as it got cracked in my PS3 T_T. It ruined my weekend. Pfft and people hate digital distribution lol. Yeah I'm planning on downloading it this time. And R2 coop will be awesome and I would be up for Crash Commandos as well. Superhuman mode really lives up to its name btw.

Yeah, I know you've got your date night. That's why I asked if Saturday was OK. Sunday would be good too but that way I can never ever join. I can't stay up until 7 in the morning on Sundays because of my study. A split-up would be great too. Like you said I too can play Resistance 2 for hours and hours. In fact I think it would be wise to split it up. But I'll wait for the final decisions until everyone had the time to respond. If it would be Sunday I'm still gonna support this even though I can never join.

True. Those games would deserve a spot too. Damn I think we need a whole week to give every game it's time. Maybe we can change the rotation after a couple of weeks though. But lets keep it at Resistance 2 and Warhawk for a while. We got the most requests for those games so far.

Yeah, there are still a lot of people playing. It was quite busy at first on FNF then people started dropping out and not showing up. That's why we took it off. Now new people are picking up the game again. Don't really know what causes it. Maybe because people see that it is still going strong unlike most Online Only games.

Hell yeah! I want to have epic shoot-outs like in Killzone 2 with you. It's great if you seem to kill and be killed by the same person over and over again. Like I said in the message I sent. I had a blast playing Killzone with you all.

Do I need the expansion packs? :(
Well, one expansion pack contains jet packs and some maps, the other a APC with a giant jelly shield and some maps and the last one a giant aircraft for 6 persons full of lasers,missiles and machine guns and some maps... You decide (it seems pretty obvious to me)...
Also will Warhawk be using the expansions? I have the first two put have held off buying the third for a while but if Dtoid starts playing it I might buy it.
Also, I'd love to see Red Faction be a part of this, as its had very little support on FNF.

This is essentially what we didn't want. I would like to play all these games too but it will be a huge clusterfuck of games again. The reason for SNS is that we can play one game for a couple of hours straight instead of switching. Two games a night tops. Socom stays out of the rotation period for the sole reason we play it every night anyway. Resistance 2 and Warhawk however not. Plus we've got Socom on FNF. This night is especially created for those two games.
ut3 is also another i can play really well. i still got more trophies for it than anyone else i know lol, its a tough grind to get any.
