It's just a couple days before Christmas so that means it's presents time! The present is mostly for you Niero, it's about your baby that everybody love so much. So a lot of helmet wearing alter ego's to be found, but it also involves a Dolphin, Shark, Old geezer with beard and a certain monocle wearing gentleman. I wonder, I wonder!

I almost spoiled it a little while ago because I was so excited. But if I did tell you about it back then you wouldn't enjoy it so much. You'll see what I was talking about when you revealed the new Dtoid layout.

So without any further ado, I present you the one and only:



Dtoid logo?

What? Isn't that an anti-climax? I see you thinking "That can't be it, right?" Well, if you think it's just the front-page logo I'm very honored. Just look closely, very closely and you might see a very familiar little feller somewhere. There, you see him? No? Me neither but I know he is somewhere around. OK, enough with the foolishness and jibber jabber.

To celebrate this years Christmas I made you:

A working Destructoid website in LittleBigPlanet!

Wait a sec. Did I just say working? "He must be having some weird Dutch delusions". No. For once I'm actually quite serious. The LittleBigPlanet level I'm talking about is in complete working order. For instance one can:

-Log in under 5 different names, complete with avatar and rank. Gotta wear a blank cardboard round mask to stick it onto

-Watch a video on Dtoid's own beautiful videoplayer.

-Scroll down a website to read a review (that received the famous gold 'Destructoid Editors Choice' label)

-Comment on said review with a couple different sentences. (Doesn't need more for a review right?)

-Race MrSadistic to the first comment on a blog

-Log out

-and finally grab a key to watch the credits roll. (because of an immense robot on a website I had to create a different level where one can look at the credits.)

So, delusional? No. Overworked? Yes. It took me a long time to create above stated awesomeness.
I enjoyed it so much that my boss decided to sack me just before Christmas. If only he said "So you can work on your Dtoid level". But no...

It took me so long because I think only the best is good enough for Destructoid. So everything you see in the level is hand-made. Logo's, avatars, webpage layout, Log-in screen complete with Ceark's awesome painting. A sort of working videoplayer that looks exactly alike. And a lot more. It's just no fun to point your PS-eye on your pc screen, take a couple of pictures and cram it into a level. I've seen that too many times to be honest.

I'm posting a few spoiler-free pics right now. Just to make you look at it for a bit. I wouldn't want to ruin the fun.









The only thing you need to do is turn on a PS3 search for either my username 'Johanhin' or the name of the level 'Destuctoid.com' and play your own level. It is entirely made for you. Enjoy!

Note 1: I wanted to create a lot more usernames but I just couldn't fit it in. Sorry Colette, and all the others, I promise when the holidays are over I'm going to create a lot more stuff, maybe a Destructoid.com part 2? But hands of this one. It's Niero's! :D)

Note 2: to all other curious readers that either don't have a PS3 or don't own the game. I'll make a blog with picslater. It'll only spoil it for the people that do want to play the level.
