Ouch! Sorry dude.

Mine wasn't so dramatic however its timing was perfect. Gears had just been released and I'd gotten back from the shops with my copy. Turned on the console and got the red rings.

Just over 1 year, me and my friends all bought them pretty much on the same day and all theirs have all already died so i knew it was going to happen thus the picture.

You know I live in south america, if a buy one I would have to buy it in the US and then crack it (so no warranty, I wonder if there is any warranty here anyway).
Does anyone know if the new ones are better than the old ones?

Hey Velt, My little brother just got his this christmas and not only is the DVD drive better its quieter so I have to presume MS are constantly revising the design of the 360 (something they should have done in the first place to avoid all these breakdowns)

Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?

Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
