I just got GH3 the other day and I like it. It is my first GH game and I always thought the series was retarded, but it is actually pretty fun to play along to kick ass songs. Yes, I'm playing it on a toy and tapping along to colored circles on a screen, but damn if it isn't fun.

Grayfox I actually agree with this whole heartedly,Guitar hero can be fun,my only beef is its retarded popularity which is invertly proportionite to its shitness,its okay on the side to wind down and i like alottt of games,but the insane mainstream aproval it gets while quality games are relegated to bargain bins,and the fact that my younger brother and hordes of my peers view it as the greatest thing out and wont even look twice at say virtua fighter 5 just infuriates me to no end

To me there's nothing lamer then seeeing kids pushing colored buttons with their feet,in sync with what the timing on screen dictates,while lame ass generic uninspired footage of crazy asains,or some rail thin punk posing as the screen flashes while top 40 songs play.
How fucking shit fucking gay i swear these games are the most boring depressing things ever to watch just people tapping ther feet while completely unrewarding visuals as a testament to how much time they have wasted.When i see dance dance revolution and the popularity the series has gathered it makes me understand for the first time why people hate video games its fucking stupid.
DDR TAKES NO SKILL ONLY BRUTE REPITION
an example i would say would be the first few times i played DDR i was able to do medium songs fairly competantly after mimimal practice.Because i'd get a knack for the song and just muscle memory would take it from ther and if i was sad enough though that i played the game 8 hrs a day,i would easily be able to master expert songs soon enough which seems obvious.But if you take a game like say street fighter 2,halo,pokemon,or any other serious competitive game,games like this have a helluva lot more depth strategy,tactics,counter tactics,crazy ass mind games and all that junk which makes a game fun to watch

there's no compelling story,no depth to them, the only people i could see playing these games seriously are people with no skill to play real games and reep any rewards and they have way to much time on ther hands.I mean its not like ther even playing a game,the games playing them.

it's all taste, and i know this is an opinion thing, but personally i love the guitar hero series, and do believe it takes a lot of skill.
