Yeah, I should probably look to change or get a new email address. It, uh, didn't work before with my old one truth be told. :P
The email address applies to job applications too! I was in HR and while it was hilarious when you got things like "pothead69@yahoo.com" as an email addres... yeah, it was also hard to take them seriously for the job. Oh, and also be aware that potential employers will do a web search, so if your facebook/twitter or other accounts mention your real name, best not to mention those drunken party pics of you throwing up on your date. (and in this case, likely not to joke about how you're trying to scam devs out of free games! LOL)
I still don't think I'd like to be a game reviewer. I just started Two Worlds 2 (the worst game I'll ever love) and it's long... it seems like it will be really, really long if I do all the side questy stuff. I can't imagine not being able to play this game, and I also can't imagine having to rush through it for a review. :(

I'm really looking forward to playing Back to the Future and Ghost Trick. I love that adventure games are experiencing such a resurgence now.
I've been volunteering for a game website doing reviews and stuff for a while now. Yours didn't give you an email for the site? I figured if I ever wanted review copies, I'd use that one and it'd be pretty obvious.
Have you had any success in getting review copies? I'm nervious to do so :x

@P-Dude
Since I am freelance, I did not get an E-Mail adress from them.
Most Publishers are very nice and give out review copies without too much trouble. At least, that is my experience so far.

Whoops, I somehow forgot all about your experience as a reviewer series and fell behind your last few articles. All fantastic reads though, although I wish they were a little more in depth, either in your description of your review or just in your life as a freelance reviewer in general. I can't read German, nor do I trust a web translator to get the job properly done in this case so I'm afraid I can't experience your reviews. Still, if it makes you uncomfortable to go further in depth or if you simply don't feel you have anything else to say I don't mean to come off as demanding.
Also, to compound an already lengthy comment, what are the specific requirements a game developer/publisher has for sending free review copies? Do they require proof of employment and past works, etc. or is it possible to simply write reviews on a blog such as this and still be sent review copies. I ask more out of curiosity than anything; I don't have the time right now to try to scam game devs/publishers out of games just for my enjoyment and eventual half-assed review.
Once again, thanks for the wonderful articles and any reply you may send my way.

@omegas Squared
Thanks for your input, I will consider getting more in depth in the future.
To answer your question: There are no actual overall requirements, although having versions of what you have already done online helps a lot. My guess is wether or not You get replies from publishers if you're a blogger depends more on the style of your work and who you are contacting. Smaller devs react more positively to bloggers than maybe bigger ones, but it is hard to generalize.
