A group of Dtoid people and other PC gaming enthusiasts have gotten together to resurrect this game from obscurity. Rev Anthony was talked into showing up last week and his article gathered a lot of enthusiasm. I've been organizing this game for a bit and wasn't posting a c-blog because I thought, like most gamers, no one was interested in giving this intense psychological game a shot.

Well I was proven wrong, so if you want to come play just connect to the following server tonight at 8 pm EST: 205.237.100.92:27025

If you want to try it but don't want to buy it just yet, post that you want a guest pass below. Hopefully someone will have one and will be feeling generous.

The server is being made available to us by the people over at UMLan.com and is run by Flying Mongoose and Caffeine Powered so say thanks if you want, because we are getting this for free.

I've always wanted to play this with a room of more than three people but I'm busy on Mondays and can't participate. Oh well...

If the ship would run on my computer, I'd love to play. I'd try to form alliances and shift my allegiances around with other players. The Ship sounds awesome.

Perhaps in a few weeks I'll be on a better computer and be able to play.

You can't really form alliances because all communication is done in "character" but you can use vent to chat or co-ordinate with people. I've noticed that every once in a while and it can give them an unfair advantage.

There is another tactic I think is pretty funny. If you get killed by someone other than your hunter or your quarry you lose nothing and the person who kills you gets fined. What some people do is to bait people into thinking that you are hunting them. If you are around someone who is baiting your quarry it can be pretty funny when they kill them and then get stabbed in the back by you. Some people on the server are master baiters.

Forgot to add that that the baiting tactic is mostly legit, the other will piss people.

I had fun. Two great moments:

I was bored cuz I had either gotten killed or killed someone or both and I had just a knife so out of curiosity I threw it at a window to see if it would break. It did. So inside were two people right in front of each other in a restaurant. I threw the knife and hit one and he thought it was the other guy so he pulled his weapon to attack and got arrested.

The other time I was on the island and I killed luca with a flare gun. There wasn't much use for it so I just threw it at some people to see if they would pick it up. Somehow I hit one of them in the head and killed them. Then Eschatos killed me for killing his quarry.
