I currently 'own an Xbox 360, However this ownership is on a shared basis with my brother in law. Why?, might you ask. It was the day of the release of Halo 3 and both me and my brother in law were more than keen to get a hold of an xbox to play it on. So due to a lack of funds on both of our behalfs we decided to split the costs and pay half each.
Regardless of this arrangement said brother in law isnt much of a gamer so i keep the 360 at my place pretty much all the time, like some kinda console divorce with visitation rights, until that is after me having recently bought Fable II, Fallout 3 and Gears 2. He asks to take it away to his for awhile. Me being the reasonable fellow i am i dont bemaon the fact he wants to take it away. That is however before a weekend of absolute boredom, No Gears, no live, my DS charger is nowhere to be seen(i have some Twilight Princess business to attend to). I did howver manage to squeeze in some Gears of War 1 at a freinds house before watching Brock Lesnar take apart Randy Couture on Sky.
So, its pretty much came down to me re-installing bullshit games on my bullshit pc till my brother in law has had his fill of the november releases. Oh Dear.
Ive definately thought about buying him out, just seems like a bit of a dickhead thing to do as i do have the system about 95% of the time.
Just Damn bored playing Command and Conquer Generals
Yeah but i still wouldn't have been able to afford both games and the console.
I suppose i could wait 5 years and be able to buy said games/console at a fraction of the price, but i enjoy being able to play and be a part of the current generation as it is happening.
Or do the same with my pc and be able to run Crysis with ease after a long enough time cheaply as technology moves on and becomes cheaper.
I could barley run Stalker on minimum settings. And that game is crazy enough without all the random enemy loading and non weather effects my rig created for me.
