- Has there ever been a true comedy game? I don't mean a game that is funny, but a game that was made with the specific intent of making the player laugh. Earthworm Jim was a platform shooter primarily, The Neverhood was a puzzler. You Don't Know Jack, maybe? Come to think of it, compare film genres to game genres and it's interesting to note a small amount of them cross-pollinate. Games have action, horror, indie, a little bit of western. We're missing out on comedy, drama, even romance (not counting Japanese dating sims and Gears of War, I guess).
- Speaking of The Neverhood, let's get on that. Skullmonkey's 2 needs to happen.
- Somebody needs to put together a book about vaporware titles. I find it incredibly interesting to read about titles that never were, even if seemed like they were going to be horrible anyway. Fireteam Rogue, The Diabolical Adventures of Tobu, Thrill Kill (sort of), those games were all on their way to being produced when the project was yanked (TK was done, later leaked online). I'd like to hear the stories of the developers who were involved in them. Given the recent Falujah game clusterfuck, it seems like an appropriate time for it. P.S. - was Starcraft: Ghost ever officially axed or was it just relegated to the attic by Blizzard like some deformed sibling, never to be spoken of again?
- Since Activision has no problem milking franchises they've absorbed/developed, they should really move forward with a new Nightmare Creatures. Enough time has passed between the last one that they could really wipe the slate clean and reintroduce the IP. Just keep the Victorian setting and Lovecraftian vibe and we're good to go.
- Speaking of returning to IP's, no more fucking around Capcom. Final Fight 4. For real, for now. Don't push it to an American publisher to fuck up, do it right. This is a dark world, it needs Mike Haggar. I'll do you one better, make the game about Mike Haggar running for president / fighting Al-Quada, and I will buy five copies.
- Take Crackdown, the customization of Saint's Row 2, mix in the Don's View / family management system from The Godfather II, add some wicked dark humor, and you would have an amazing supervillain simulation game. I would love to raise up my own army of henchmen, invest in technology and development, and gradually take over multiple cities, all the while pushing back meddling, jerkoff superheros.
- If Activision does make a Deadpool game, the only way to do it justice would be to crib on Matt Hazard, but to do it right. Secure Ryan Reynolds as the voice talent, base it off of the comics, and have the entire game be one big 4th-wall joke on the medium. I'll give you another freebie; make the villain Arcade and you have your story already written for you.

I wouldn't do Arcade exactly as he is in the comics, but I think he would be a great foil to play off of the whole 'game within a game' vibe that would hopefully be present. He doesn't need to be wearing the goddamn bow tie or anything.
For another Final Fight, I'd only be interested if it was in 2D and retained much of the goofiness in its characters and settings. Didn't they have a few abortions in their attempt to make a 3D Final Fight that turned out horrible and super serious?
There was Final Fight: Streetwise for PS2 and Xbox. That's what I was referring to when I mentioned that Capcom would refrain from putting it into the hands of an American development team. Play as Cody's younger brother while you take on a gang using designer drugs to turn themselves into mutants while listening to inappropriately-licensed hip-hop tracks and dropping F-bombs? Sure, sounds like Final Fight to me!
I'm just getting around to Marvel Ultimate Alliance and I would love a Deadpool game with dialogue like his special mission.
