BIO:

I was born in the year 20XX and sent back into the past via space capsule to prevent Judgement Day. I think they sent me back too early, because nothing is really happening yet. So, until I get the call, I'm usually just sitting around, readin' comics, playin' videogames, and drawrin' pictures.

LIFE GOAL:

- To get the power-up and save the princess. Will settle for steady job with decent healthcare plan.

Blood Brother White

Blood Brother Red

Couple of notes on this one;

- Since this is an "odd" numbered entry, this counts as a variant piece as assets were reused (similar to Slow Your Beast Roll CE and Bearhug (Mech Zangeif).

- First of the New Challenger entries to be in a horizontal layout

- Although I directly wanted to reuse many of the assets (to play on the reuse of assets in Street Fighter II), I wanted there to be subtle differences. Thus, the blue drop shadow is slightly different in the two pieces, and Ken has shading in his hair whereas Ryu does not.

- I was having a huge issue getting the Hadoken pose down correctly, so I actually worked directly over the sprites used in Street Fighter II.

Next entree (whenever it drops), will be a singular one (next variant will likely be Vega). Out of the remaining Super Street Fighter II cast, who would you like to see next?

I want every piece of your Street Fighter art to be prints for tshirts. Awesome stuff as always brother. Surely you're doing Dudley at some point, yes?

Also, fap.
Epic as always. I was playing through one of my favorites the other day when I realized how perfect the main character would be for your style. Yes sir, you're art has invaded my brain and I now think about it while I'm doing other things.

The game was Earthworm Jim 2, and the character was Earthworm Jim 2 as well as the goldfish in a bowl you "fight" at the end of one of the earlier levels. Did I mention I loved you?
Fighting/attacking poses aren't easy, I have no doubt that doing the Hadouken pose of all things must have been strenuous on you. But it paid off for you, they're both awesome.
I think this is my favorite piece you've ever done.
The Bioshock "Children at Play" Sign is second.
The third is this:

I someday intend to write that counterpoint blog, by the way.
Also, I know this is a bit off topic, but about that Dexter poster of yours, I think it's pretty good, but there are a couple of things I would change (if you're looking for suggestions). First of all, I'd remove the shushing finger, I think its a bit distracting because it disappears into red. Also, I might change his expression. Because it's a picture of Dexter in his normal clothes (rather than the ones he wears to a kill) I think a happy expression would be more effective. The slight skull outlines you have, the red border, and the knives/syringes would be contrasted by a happy, pleasant, charming looking Dexter. In fact, the shadowy afterimage thing behind him could remain the same to represent his dark passenger. Then again, I have absolutely no drawing talent, so take my comments with a grain of salt.
Anyway (I know I sound like a broken record) your art is amazing, keep it up!
Yep - still amazing!
Also, holyfreakingshitdowantVEGA.
DO IT.
Wow. I type like shit when I'm tired. I apologies to all grammar nazis out there and I will now retire to my bed.
... Fuck.
Thanks for the awesomeness, everybody. I really appreciate everyone taking the time to comment. Also, the gratuitous fapping.

@Yojimbo; Dudley might be fun. I wasn't sure if I was going to do characters from Street Fighter 2, but I suddenly want to do Oro very badly. Also, related to prints/t-shirts, I'm still figuring out the actual technical way to do something like that. The copyright issue might be a problem. Stay tuned nonetheless.

@Krow; I've been thinking about something EWJ-related for awhile. Might be happening in the near future. Also I love you too.

@TheCleaningGuy; all constructive criticism noted, and definitely appreciated. I actually worked directly from a promo pic for the pose, thus the finger thing. Also, the shadow was intentional - being a fan of the books as well as the show, I wanted to make the Dark Passenger one of the key elements of the piece. Still, I'm probably going to do a round 2 at some point, so I'll take your suggestions into account when I get around to it. Thanks for putting so much thought into the piece. I really appreciate it.

Also, re-reading the actual blog, the secret word of the day is apparently "assets".

of course, by Dudley and Oro, I am referring to Street Fighter 3 - not Street Fighter 2. Huzzah! Rookie mistake!
Gnarly as fuck. I wanna see Akuma or Fei Long.
you're such a mother fucking beast.
amazing work man.
how about my baby chun li?
This is more than just a middle school locker room passing interest. I want to run away to Paraguay with you.
Excellent art as always... you have a very unique style!
